Of course the view is fantastic! We hardly have any water in Indiana, even manmade, so the reservoire is nice. However, we never visit when the weather is not nice because the food and prices just aren't worth it to sit inside. The food is okay. I don't mind high prices if the food is excellent, but for the price, the food is only okay. The service has always been mediocre when we go there. If you want an excellent fish dinner, go to Bonefish Grill. If you want ambiance, give Rick's a chance!
Our first visit to Rick's was a disaster. Contacted the manager only to be told she could not send out
free gift cards for every disgruntled guest. Makes me wonder how many there have been.
My husband ordered the special of the day, and it was a $35 ribeye(special?).
Reservations had been made prior to our groups visit, and still we waited about 20 minutes for our tables.
We finely arranged them ourselves.
This use to be a very upscale restaurant it has went down!!!! Tremendously I am so very displeased and also in the process of contacting a District Manager regarding my concerns with my viist at Ricks on 3/6/08
They always have fast service and the are at a great location. They always have low prices.
I and a group of old co-workers met at Rick's in Summer '07. It was about 25 people. Reservations were made in advance-however, they did not have a table ready for us even though we had been advised earlier by management that the reservation was good 15 mins past our reservation time. I was dissappointed in the service-it took one hour for someone to come take a drink order. It took another 45 mins for the food order. I would recommend perhaps more help on days that are the busiest-this was Sunday afternoon. I would also recommend additional training for the help. Had the food been beyond my expectations I could have overlooked the service-but they could use the help in that area as well. This was my third visit over a period of 5 years-and each time was exactly the same-bad service, average food.
Have been there for Thanksgiving and on a regular day. The food is okay but a little pricey.
