Mister Quik Home Services
4355 Lafayette Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46254
Do you have any idea that the majority of your experience is scripted? There is an average ticket amount and useless routine services that they trick you into getting. The women you talk to dont even know what they're talking about and then they switch you over to "brandon" who sounds like a con-man.
They will even ask you to give them referrals and when you say no they ask if it's okay to mention you to your neighbors? They even said they would pay me 50 dollars after about twenty minutes of bullying me into having someone come to my home.
Seriously do business with someone else, I would never take a call or have any service done by this shady operation, ask for qualifications, ask for how long the person has worked at the office and where they worked at previously, pick anybody else, it's not about getting things done monday through saturday nine to five or whatever their schedule is, it's about having someone come in that knows what they are doing, doesn't that matter anymore?
Having someone that knows what they are doing and doesnt break it down into a script and horrible business practices? A good service person with honesty, skill, experience, and integrity will not be found at this establishment.
I have noticed that on multiple sites Mr Quik, from facebook, twitter, and everything in between they've been self promoting themselves falsely and trying to grow that way by paying people for "referrals" because they cannot build repor and integrity on their own.
On this site and many others Mr Quik is guilty of making up their own reviews, plastic, and fraudulent.
It's like doing business with a criminal, you don't know what you're going to get, and you're not wise for acting on it.
Gary was very professional and assisted with the issues for our HVAC, in a timely, efficient manner. He addressed questions and was very friendly. Mr. Quik continues to send those types of technicians to our home for the maintenance program; nice to know we're in professional hands.
Technician Vince did a good job of repairing our plumbing problem (hot/cold washing machine shutoff valve replacement). Issue concerns price charged ($245 per valve + $119 to cut a 10" hole in drywall). Call to manager went nowhere. Corporate pricing, no recourse, so sorry, etc...
$600+ to braise two $8 parts located two inches from each other, which took an hour. Have used electrical part of the business before and have been pleased by service. We were gouged by the plumbing side. Currently have service plan but am reconsidering further use of this company
They will fix your problem, but be prepared to pay. Do not recommend.
I scheduled an appointment online on a Friday night for a Sunday morning drain cleaning and the technician was here right on time. He did an excellent job. I had the same drain cleaning done about 5 years ago by a different company. I was prepared for a mess as the last time I had this done it took me about an hour to clean up the basement. The technician from Mr. Quik took his time to ensure he did a thorough and to keep from making any messes. Clean up this go around only took a few minutes.
Mister Quik Electric was wonderful they were able to set up an appointment quickly. The technician Anthony K. was absolutely wonderful. His work was done very professionally. He was very efficient with his time. Very polite, courteous and considerate of my home. He cleaned up any mess he made while he was here. I would recommend him anytime for your electrical needs.
The Mister Quik plumbing tech Travis did a good job with the annual maintenance for the plumbing system and water heater, and answered a few questions that I had about the water heater and filter and water softener systems. I use mister Quik for the annual maintenance for the house and they do a good job, on time, and give me lots of useful information.
AC was out on a newer unit. Marvin Roberts was fast, knowledgeable and courteous. He came out next day and had me up and running in 15 minutes. I asked him a bunch of questions and he really knows his business. Nice guy. Expert in his field. Will do business with the Mr. Quik again and signed a really low priced service contract for them to check out my system twice a year for $9 a month so I never have to worry or waste time away from work..
STAY AWAY!! I called to have a problem looked at and they sent out a guy named Scott. Not only was he rude I actually think he damaged my fuse box!! I went to the garage and smelled a burning smell. Scott showed me a breaker that was burnt and said I needed a new fuse box for over $3000!!!! That burning smell WAS NOT THERE before. I know because I was at the fuse box to make sure a breaker didn't just need reset earlier in the day.
I called another electrician who said the breaker was burnt by a torch not from getting old because the outside was burnt and the inside was not. If it had burnt from age and wear it would have burnt from the inside out. Thankfully the other electrician was able to replace the whole box for $1200 not $3000. Simply put, never ever ever call Mister Quik!!
STEER CLEAR!!!! They will tell you that you need to replace whatever they are there to look at and quote you top of the line prices. If you consult another business they will more than likely have a simpler (and MUCH cheaper) fix. We have called them twice and first time thought it was a fluke, after the second time we felt we were trying to be scammed. Will NEVER call them again. Both times we did call, we ended up going with another business or contractor to do the work, saved literally thousands of dollars and our AC is still working just fine. At least get a second opinion before you sign up for anything.
Incompetent! We called them to fix a pipe/hose that was gushing water after a connector broke. They replaced the hose and connector. A few days later it started dripping again. This time they replaced the valve, charging us another $300. Further work should have been comped or at least massively discounted since they didn't fix the problem the first time!
How do I say this delicately, AVOID THIS BUSINESS LIKE THE PLAGUE! I have not been so disappointed or felt so cheated by a business in quite some time. I called to schedule an appointment to have a bathroom exhaust fan replaced. I asked the dispatcher the cost and she said she had no prices but the amount would be given to me by the electrician sent to the job. Also, she stated their was a $69.00 dispatch fee. Ok, I have dealt with electric projects in homes spanning the last 20 years so no problem, I was willing to pay market rate for the work.
BAD ASSUMPTION on my part that I was dealing with a reputable company. The electrician inspected the very basic bathroom exhaust fan and quoted me $489.00 plus the $69.00 dispatch fee to install the bath fan. Also, the quote came from a laminated price book that clearly had the prices and the work spelled out. So, the person who scheduled the appointment didn't need any technical background to give me a price.
$558.00 to install a replacement bathroom exhaust fan (the duct work and electric was already in the ceiling). Needless to say, I sent the electrician on his way but was stuck with a $69.00 dispatch fee, which felt like another cheat because if the original appointment scheduler had shared with me their ridiculous pricing schedule, I never would have set the appointment. Scott, the electrician said there prices were within 3% plus or minus of the market prices. Well that was bologna too.
I called and had Danville Electric (a licensed, bonded and insured electrician company) come out and install the replacement exhaust fan and they charged me $135.00. The moral of this story...Mister Quik is a horrible company and should be avoided. I have several rental properties and have dealt with so many contractors over the years but never have I had one be so unethical with their prices and sales methods.
Avoid, avoid, avoid. I would have said ZERO stars but it requires you to pick at least one. They deserve NO starts for the unethical sales practices.
Tried to rip me off by stating my panel was going to catch fire and charge me 2500 bucks. Thought it was odd when he wanted to do a "free" panel inspection. My regular electrician was on a honeymoon. The light in my dining room went out and he tried to say it was the bus burning up behind the breaker causing it not to work. I was smart enough that one breaker doesn't control one light.
I threw him out and waited on him to get back.
My guy came back in town and put in a new light switch. 2500!!! to change a light switch.
Mr. Quik Electric/Heating and Cooling.... are AMAZING!! I recently had an electrical issue in my home, that turned out to be a heating and cooling situation. They sent one of their guys out to my home and had me fixed up that same day. Who knew you could get both situations taken care of all in one. They were friendly, timely, and very knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone I know. I would also use them again in the future if any situation were to pop up.
They told me on the phone that it would be $69/hr for any work that they had to do. The guy showed up, inspected the electrical, and came back in and said it would cost $392 to fix. They asked me to sign off to give them permission to do the work and charge me $392. I signed off, assuming that it was going to take them many hours for this price. It only took them 10 mins, and then they charged me $392. I talked to another electrician, and he said that all they did was run a wire, which should have been about $40 for supplies. So, why did it cost so much? This place is a rip off. I would not recommend
