My last visit was to the Sourthpointe Dr 46227 collecting station.
They don't listen to the patient. They don't verify information, like fasting before a test. In my 60 years, there has never been a problem raising a vein until this very, very young (inexperienced?) girl tried to draw my blood.
Then the girl at the reception desk tried, and she hit a nerve. Twice. When I screamed in pain, I was berated for "verbal abuse". Was the receptionist really a phlebotomist, and if so, why was she working reception?
I ask for names of people, and they refused to give them. The only name I left with was "Vicky King" as their supervisor. Ms King seems to be head of MACL from their internet page. I called her and left a message; my call was not returned. I wrote her a letter, and after 3 weeks it is unanswered.
I thought MACL had pretty much a lock on Indianapolis, but my Dr's office says they have a couple of competitors (PCL, Franciscan) and they haven't been sending samples to MACL since April.
Check your bills with this company!! They continually have sent incorrect bills that they fail to correct even after submitting proof of personal payments and insurance deductions. Getting through to someone on the phone is nearly impossible because "all circuits are busy" on many occasions for hours on end. When you do get through to someone, they promise to correct their mistakes, but it never happens.
