I put in maintenance request to get my AC fixed eight (8) days ago. My apartment is still 90 degrees when I get home. Maintenance won’t return call when I leave messages. I tried to get the business office to give me a time frame of when it would get fixed. The lady refused to tell me how long it would take and when I insisted she give me a timeframe she hung up on me. My apartment is 90 degrees and I put the original maintenance request in 8 days ago. Is this how you want to be treated by your landlord?

NEW RENTERS STAY AWAY, they can't keep their old tenants.

The rent is due on the first day of every month. If you don't pay by the first day of a month, they will charge you a late fee of $80 plus $10 for every day you are late beyond the first day of the month. No exceptions whether you are late due to your busy schedule or due to abnormal circumstances or you are an old tenant who was never late on rent. Oh by the way, if you are late they don't accept personal checks; they only accept money orders and you have drive to a post office or a bank. So, to the late fee add your gas to drive to the post office and commission for the money order.

I have been living here for a little over two years and I am late for the first time. They made me pay the late fee. They threatened that they will report to the credit agencies in the event I don't pay the late fee and make sure that I don't get an apartment anywhere else. There are A LOT OF OTHER ISSUES AS WELL. Break-ins and muggings, ants and flies quickly start multiplying inside, rude business office and management, rude maintenance staff in the common areas, duck poop every where, old construction are only a few issues to list here.

I am waiting for the lease to get over and will be moving out soon. ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED. GHETTO, STAY AWAY & LOOK ELSEWHERE.

Good Location/Unfair Management

Convenient location near a popular shopping mall but terrible apartment management. The only reason they have been able to charge residents so much for low-quality apartments was because of the location. They are mostly concerned about the people they will have future business with but when someone decides to leave for one reason or another they find ways to charge any fees imaginable. When I was moving out I had given them a verbal notice within a sixty-day period, and had been unable to get off work to come in and do it in the written form because they only open at 10am and close at 6 on most days. I was late by just a couple of days and charged close to a $25 for each late day. Also $40 for monthly delinquency fee and other hidden fees that if I knew about I would have never moved there in the first place.
I felt I was robbed by the time I moved out. I would not recommend this complex especially to those who are first-time apartment buyers and don't know all the little rules and hidden fees.

Punishing late fees

Late by just one day? $50 late fee, and they only accept a money order.

No exceptions. Not even if you thought they weren't open on the Sunday the 1st fell on this month. It's not like they could've deposited my money until the following monday, anyway, so why punish me? Greed. Free money. Blind policy. Take your pick, but don't rent here unless you're 100% you'll never be late on your rent, not even by a day. Or you don't mind blowing an extra $50 on rent.

Oh, and the gym is terrible. Smelly, suffocating because there's no ventilation, and half the time the machines are broken down. I tried to get a refund for my gym key (yes, it's not free access), but nope. Fairness doesn't occur to these people, just rules, and make no mistake, the rules benefit only THEM.

There are much nicer options all around, even I think just across the street. A friend told me they were more forgiving, but double-check that for yourself.
