Osteoarthitis, rheumatoid arthitis and traumatic arthritis are the three most common types of arthitis that often are the cause of hip pain. Otheoarthitis usually occurs in elderly individuals, especially those with arthitis in the family history. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disorder which causes inflammation, pain and stiffiness. Traumatic arthritis can occur after a hip injury or fracture.
Plantar Fasciitis
You're more likely to get plantar fasciitis if you are a woman, if you are overweight, or if you have a job that requires a lot of walking or standing on hard surfaces. You are also at risk if you walk or run for exercise, especially if you have tight calf muscles that limit how far you can flex your ankles. People with very flat feet or very high arches are also more prone to foot injuries like plantar fasciitis.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
A malfunctioning nerve causes carpal tunnel syndrome which can cause wrist pain, hand pain and even elbow pain. Nerves relay signals between the brain and the body. In people with carpal tunnel syndrome, these nerve signals have trouble passing through the relatively tight space of the carpal tunnel, which is in the area along the wrist. This causes an increase in pressure on the nerve inside the carpal tunnel which results in hand and wrist pain.

This increased in pressure on the carpal tunnel nerve is the primary problem, but some medical conditions make nerves more likely to be affected by increased pressure (diabetes and thyroid disease, for example). Older individuals are also more likely to have carpal tunnel syndrome. It is usually difficult to pinpoint the specific reason for why someone has carpal tunnel syndrome.

A traditional MRI unit looks like a large tube surrounded by a magnet. Patients lie inside the tube during the procedure. Unlike an X-Ray or CT (computed tomography) scan, the MRI does not use ionzing radiation. While the patient is inside the magnetic field, radio waves send and receive signals that are detected by the electric coils that produce the magnetic field. These signals are sent to the computer and processed to generate detailed images of the body. Often, an MRI is better at revealing abnormal or diseased tissue that X-Ray's and CT scans.

Plantar Fasciitis
One common cause of foot pain and ankle pain is an injury called plantar fasciitis (fashee-EYE-tiss). If your first few steps out of bed in the morning cause severe foot pain in the heel of your foot, you may have plantar fasciitis. It's an overuse foot injury affecting the sole (bottom) or flexor surface (plantar) of the foot. A diagnosis of plantar fasciitis means you have inflamed the tough, fibrous band of tissue (fascia) connecting your heel bone to the base of your toes.
