Worst experience for car repair I've ever had. Kept my ride for over a week then told me to take it to a dealer, that he couldn't figure out the problem. (check engine light on). When I picked it up over 300 miles had been put on, cigarette/cigar ashes everywhere. Burn mark on the fabric on a backseat door. Dirty bootprints on passenger dash. I also found a mascara brush and empty lighter on the floor!! They obviously were driving the car for personal use. Took the car to Pat's Monon automotive repair on 54th st. Dropped it on Mon. had it back Wed. fixed and he only had to drive it around the block twice! I'm not one to complain but RON"S is NOT a reputable business. I regret taking my ride there. Go to Pat's for good reliable service.
Won’t sell it must be put in car or truck. Wanted $300.00+ for a $100 radiator and 50/50 antifreeze put in. They buy antifreeze in bulk, and I don’t mind someone making a living, but $150 profit on a 20 min job is crazy 😜😝! Wouldn’t send my enemy there!
I needed to replace a clogged catalytic converter that was on the car. I bought a new one at Advance Auto. I stopped in and ask Mike how much it would cost to cut the old one off and weld the new one on? He said they charge $75.00 plus parts if needed. He was working on another car so I waited for him to finish. I even helped him hold some of the pipes on the other car so he could put the clamps and screws in since he is the only one that works there. After I pulled the car onto the lift he raised it up, the owner had come in with a few parts and was talking to Mike outside. When Mike came back in he said I was way off with the cost, "he" (meaning the owner) said it was $150. Normally I would have told him to let it down and I would have taken it to another place. Under the circumstances and time that day I told him to go ahead and fix it. He spent 10 minutes cutting the old one off and welding the new one on with no added parts. I had already been warned that they sometimes change their prices. That is truly the last time I will stop in there for any work to be done and I will NEVER recomend anyone to go there to get any work done.
My parents (my dad in his 80s) recently had them replace 4 tires. One of the rims came back badly scuffed up and they refused any responbility for it. Then they noticed that all of the change that had been in the change holder in the center console had been stolen and dad found a dime dropped in the driver's seat upon first getting the car returned to them. There was also a bag with a new shirt in it that had been left in the backseat that had been taken. Of course Indy Tire denied any responsibilty and refused to make any restitution. Be warned!!
Ron's Auto looked over my car, told me what needed fixed and then gave me an estimate. Very happy with price and service. Staff is great too!
Went to the service dept for my regular oil change and tire rotation. Was told it wouldn't take any longer than an hour. Even though it did take longer, the manager apologized and made it right by only charging me for the tire rotation and not the oil change. I thought that was very professional and showed me that they valued my time as well since they did that without me having to complain or ask for anything.
Website said "Call for free quote". I work on cars some and know exactly what's wrong. Just a flex pipe replacement. All he would say is "I need to look at it". I even told him I know exactly what's wrong. "I need to look at it".Forget this place.
I was stuck with a vehicle in an Indy impound lot after an accident. Needed it retrieved and towed to a Bloomington Body Shop, I did not want to drive up there. All taken care of in one phone call. They did everything I asked them to do, called me en-route. Charged me exactly what they quoted me. Nice and polite on the phone, and in person. Would use again with no question.
I've had my dodge for a long time with hardly any issues whatsoever. I kept my car up for years and made sure I had a warranty for as long as I owned it. I take it there for a specific issue, they diagnose (charging a diagnostic fee), the item fell under my warranty but for whatever reason the warranty company denied repairing. I called the warranty company outraged because they wanted thousands to fix my car and that item was covered. I found out that they denied it because of what and how the Dodge representative called in the repair. I didn't think anything of it. I took it elsewhere and had it fixed for only a third of what they were charging. About 6-8 months later, something else started to go....it too was a warranty item and again denied because of what the Dodge rep said. He told them that they have no record of me having any type of maintenance work done on my car there that could have prevented the issues. I had to show the receipts of my maintenance upkeep which was done elsewhere for a lot less. You would think if an item is covered by a warranty that they would want to fix it but instead they fix it to where warranty companies won't cover it so you can pay them those ungodly amounts of money directly. They are definitely not on your side when it comes to warranty work.
