DO NOT TAKE YOUR BOAT HERE FOR SERVICE OR STORAGE!!!! I would give zero stars if it would let you. For starters after supposedly storing our boat with the cover on, indoors, it was returned to us filthy, tears in the seat, spider webs and about 3 inches of standing water under all our seat and side storage's. Then after spending over $2000 on repairs the boat wouldn't even start. Earl actually came out to the marina to take a look and started rigging the carburetor, wiggling wires and started it up after pulling out a broken belt. I asked why he didn't fix the belt and he said it was only squeaking, not broken. (my husband said to fix EVERYTHING on this boat so we would have no troubles this season) My father in law was with me at the marina meeting and he requested to take it on a test drive to see how it runs. Our reply was "I dont ever go out on the water, I dont swim" (after he bragged to my husband when we first met about his big boat on Monroe) after I called him out on that and he lied straight to my face telling me he never said that I know why he didn't want to take it for a test. 30 seconds out on the water, were smoking again, same problem. Oh and this is after he said he would have to special order a fan belt and it could take weeks to come in. My husband found one at autozone for $12 and replaced it himself in 3 min. Long story short Earl did absolutely nothing to our boat. He also charged us $600.00 to install a stereo (that never worked) and a battery separate from the other charges. Pay the money to go to a qualified mechanic, read the reviews. All the other marine mechanics in the area have all heard of quality craft and laughed as they told us that we got took by "Earl the Squirrel" who also told us that our boat is old and will never just "Start right up". Well and behold in and out at a qualified mechanic and our "old boat" starts right up and runs great.

Update. I no longer work there and do not rep this company, their service, or sales. I stand by my customers by being reputable and honest. Special ordered an Avalon pontoon boat. Told it would be in in six weeks, it took ten weeks. Lots of excuses. Went to pick up boat, so excited, the interior was wrong, the floor was not what we ordered and there was a dent in the boat. More excuses. They would not fix the issues and they would not lower the price for the problems. Printed a refund check before we asked, said they were so sorry, and showed us the door. Ten weeks and still no boat!!! Don't' believe anything Brittany or Ted tell you. They have no idea of what customer service is.
bought a Ranger Comanche off them and ran it with no problems till the computer went out. it was under warranty so took it in and they had it fixed in a week. Ran super from then on and no other problems. Took care of me with professional courtesy
We purchased a boat from Teds about 10 years ago. We enjoyed the boat, however, we never got the title for it. We tried for years to get Teds to give us the title but it never panned out. The BMV told us that the previous owners are still registered as the owners and our bank stated they never received the title for the boat. I called and spoke with Mark (manager) and his response was "basically" F- you lets take it to court... I have never done business with such unprofessional people in my life. Save yourself the heartache and spend your hard earned money with a better company, my opinion and advice...
After looking all over for my new boat and meeting tons of sales people... I have to say that the sales staff, as well as the parts staff are friendly, helpful, and very caring. I'm blow away by the negative reviews and I must say that if ever down the road I want to trade or sell my boat I know that the first stop I will make will be to Ted's Aqua Marine.
Don't do business with Ted's Aqua Marine!!! We bought a used boat from Ted's and after only making two payments on it one of the fish finders went out, one of the livewell pumps starting making noise and not working correctly and most importantly the trailer was having issues with the bearings. We called and specifically told them that a) we needed the boat for a tournament that we had coming up within 2 weeks and b) we were none too pleased with all the issues and did not feel the total cost to repair the boat should be all on us. The lady (which was Ted's daughter) was apologetic was instructed to bring the boat to them immediately. We did only to find out that they couldn't look at the boat for 2 weeks. This lead to a series of calls to the manager of the service department and another employee who were rude, condescending and uncaring. Then Ted himself called and left the most scattered, didn't make any kind of sense message so we called back and told them we'd be to pick up the boat on Saturday, for them not to touch it and we'd fix it ourselves. Ted then called the next day and said it was in the shop and they would work on the livewell issue but that was it. All in all unless you really want to get the run around, poor customer service and spoken to like trash, I'd strongly suggest going somewhere else. No wonder Ranger boats won't let them advertise that they sell their boats!!!!
