This is this worst club!! I would never join this club again. I cancelled this membership sometime ago was told by the manager that it was never cancelled. I received a letter from a collection agency for 3 months of payments. I not advised anyone to join this gym. The finance manager is very incompetent.

I love this LA Fitness location. LA is the best gym.in the entire indianapolis area and the best i have ever been to.
The gym is constantly dirty, the staff ignores you, They have few free weight machines which are constantly in use. Also unlike most gyms they will not allow you to cancel your membership; but will hold you to a full two years (or all the money left in your contract upfront). My advice is to carefully read ALL the fine print on your contract. Speak with the owner regarding the cancellation process as they will not go over it with you (granted I should have read the fine print myself instead of assuming they would be more customer satisfaction oriented like other gyms in their vicinity such as planet fitness and LA Fitness who allow cancellation for whatever reason whenever you desire instead of strong arming you into a two year contract they know you will want out of due to their dismal selection of equipment and unsanitary atmosphere). I plan to just eat the rest of my monthly for my contract and Join LA Fitness.
Don't listen to these people. You don't go to the gym to use the restroom and the locker room. You go to pump iron. This gym has everything you need to get in shape. Only downfall at all is the amount of members they have but I go at 8pm so it's a little slower.
Nice for kids who want to learn to box. My son went there for a while and he liked it. They also try to pull adults in there for gym memberships but honestly the gym is quite run down, dingy, and dirty. A lot of the weight machines are broken and only about half of the cardio machines work. They told me they had a full schedule of fitness classes but it was only 1 class two days a week, I think hip hop or zumba or something like that. Oh and there was always a big dog roaming around and kids running the front desk. I don't know, just seemed a little chaotic and not very well put together. But the boxing lessons were good...
I love CTF! Everyone, members, management, and staff alike, is very friendly and helpful. There is a ton of equipment, and coming in for a workout is very simple, for I have never had to wait to use equipment. It is also very clean and well kept.
Oh Max, why couldn't you just let me workout without having to resort to engaging with the dreg of society that is you? And now, you get the privilege of getting lambasted into oblivion for all of eternity. I love writing when I'm in a contemptuous mood though. It serves me. I was initially going to do an exercise over by where the racquetball court connects with the aerobics studio--in the little corner where people stretch...out of the way. But, somebody was in this area so I decided to come back to it. I then went looking for one of the two movable benches to do a different exercise and saw one underneath one of the smith machines. Didn't see anyone using it but then a guy (Max) came over and I asked him if he was using the bench. He said yes.Cool. No problem. He asked if I wanted to work in and I said that I wasn't benching, and that I needed the bench to do a different exercise. He seemed annoyed. I told him I'd wait and that it wasn't a big deal. To make a long story short, I saw the guy that was in the space over by the aerobics area come into the free weight room so I decided to go back to do the exercise I wanted to do in that area.I grabbed an Olympic bar and proceeded over. I had company. It was Max. Max said that I can't do that exercise there because it messes up the wall. The exercise--so this passage makes sense to the readers--is called a Land Mine Press. You lay the Olympic bar on the ground and put one end of the bar up against the wall to create a pivot point. You then stand at the other end and press the weight from shoulder height up above your head.
Run for your life! Worst experience as a member EVER. Nothing but lies since I have signed up. The only two things I like about LA Fitness is the multiple locations around town (not that you can access them all without an extra fee) and facility (cleanliness and equipment). Staff and management are terrible and rude at times, especially when calling corporate. Whenever you have an issue, you are given the run around and are told to call back when the supervisor is in (hint: the supervisor is never in). I was told when I signed up I would have multi-unit access at no extra cost (since I travel for work). The guy who signed me up told me to call the supervisor in a few days and he would approve it. When I called back, the supervisor told me I had to wait 30 days before changes could be made to my account ... I wasn't told that when I initially signed up, but I waited. I called several times after the 30 days to get in touch with the supervisor and never could. When I requested a call back, I never received it. So, I decided to call corporate. Surely they could help me! Wrong. I was given the same speech about how I could pay extra for multi-unit access. When I explained to him I was told when I signed up that I could get multi-unit for free, he asked if I had written proof. Of course I didn't. In the meantime, I had been charged $5 for every visit to another facility, so I asked the guy at corporate that those charges be reversed from my account. He told me that he would take them off my account. Guess what? The charges were never taken off my account, but I am not surprised. After all that, I called the local gym by my house since I moved recently to get my "home club" address changed, so I can go to the one by my house since clearly I won't be getting multi-unit access. Guess what? They can't change your "home club" address, but you can pay a fee to get multi-unit access or pay $5 for every visit to a LA Fitness that is not your "home club." One other point that I forgot to mention about when I first signed up. They will ask you if you want a free fitness assessment. Say "no" unless you want to get conned into paying extra for personal training sessions. I made the mistake of saying yes and reserved a Saturday appointment. The lady was 30 minutes late, didn't apologize when she finally arrived, and the first words out of her mouth was, "I don't want to waste your time or mine, but if you aren't interested in personal training, then there is no use in me telling you about our program." Obviously, I was frustrated about wasting part of my Saturday, but I calmly told her I was not interested in personal training. When I told her I had not yet been given a tour of the facility, she pointed towards the equipment and told me that was pretty much it, but she could show me around IF I REALLY WANTED HER TO. Obviously, she was not interested in giving me a 10 minute tour of the gym which would've made me feel more welcome, so I told her if I had questions, I would ask a fellow member to show me around. Long story short, if you like getting charged fees for EVERYTHING and poor customer service, become an LA Fitness member. Be prepared to pay the extra multi-unit fee because no matter how you spin it, you'll be paying it at some point. Me on the other hand? I will be taking my business elsewhere. I'm sorry I was tricked into becoming a member at this money-hungry, sketchy company.
Thanks to Toni for her life altering assistance with my aversion to fish. After talking with Toni and 2 wonderful sessions I am using her techniques and affirmations regularly. I have had good success and took a big step on April 6 of ordering a fish dinner while eating out. This was HUGE, always before i would oder "a safe" meal (chicken usually) and possibly take a try at what others were eating, usually with poor or bad results. This day i began by tapping and using the techniques, and i enjoyed my first fish meal of my whole life, really enjoyed it! I thought i was just permanently "stuck" and honestly did not think this would work for me. I was realistically hoping for just the accompanying nausea to go away. I am happy to say I was wrong, and am looking forward to enjoying fish on my up coming cruise up the east coast, Maine lobster, here I come.....thanks again Toni
I'd recommend them to anyone looking for hypnosis therapy. They really care about their clients; and the client's success. Atmosphere is warm, safe & inviting. Appointments are on time. Just a great experience all around.
