Horrible job, Pete does awful work, great workers horrible boss. He cuts pieces too short and still delivers the job without the clients knowing. He just adds a little extra piece to cover his mistakes.Dirty shop and he's always cursing people, talks behind customers back, and treats his workers like crap, not only that but he's racist.
Mr. Santaroosa came out and provided an estimate for the above listed services in June. He spent 1.5 hours walking the property and providing a detailed estimate. We had a very thorough conversation to assure expectations were aligned around budget and quality of the work. In July, when the services were rendered on the first day of the job the crew dropped off materials and stated the estimate had not included enough hours. At that point, I was asked for an additional $1400 to cover the hours. After speaking to the CEO Mr. Ketchum about the immediate price increase due to a poorly drafted estimate, I reluctantly agreed to the increase and stated this would be a “not to exceed price”. Once the job was scheduled, the services were performed with little to no supervision. I made Mr. Santaroosa aware of this and asked for on-site supervision and assurance we were on schedule and on budget. I was asked to sign off on hours for the workers, despite not being home or there to project manage. I came home to workers on my lounge chairs around my pool with no shoes on, and furthermore the workers provided bids to neighbors under the table. After the job was “complete” I noticed that in the front they had sealed over dirty bluestone. I asked them to come back out and wash the blue stone and then re-seal. They came back out and acid washed the bluestone, which stripped away the sealer they had applied. Instead of reapplying sealer, they left it as is. Again, I brought this to Mr. Ketchum’ s attention and he said this would be rectified ASAP. That communication was sent to Mr. Ketchum on August 8, 2013 and I have yet to hear or see anything from Mr. Ketchum or Mr. Santaroosa’s crew despite follow-up attempts. The quality of the product is good, however the professionalism and service provided is poor. It far outweighs the benefit of the products they use, and I would not use again for future business.
If I had to describe this company and the flawless work they provided for me it would be WOW! I am so glad my best friend told me about this place! From the time I walked in to the shop until the second they left my house I was completely thrilled. These men (and women) are true professionals. I showed up at the shop about 30 min before they closed worrying about if I was being rude or not, and within minutes they made me feel completely comfortable and didn't rush me at all. Before I knew it, it was 6:00 pm! Kristin and Paula didn't bat an eye, they were so extremely helpful. I was going to only do my kitchen but I saw in their showroom a beautiful shower; which I didn't even know could be done! So needless to say I talked to my husband and now not only do I have a stunning new kitchen, I also have the coolest shower I have ever seen :) As for the other comment on here about them being rude and messy, I don't believe it for a second. I have never met such nice construction workers in my life, each one was extremely professional and friendly. They made sure any questions I had while they were installing were asked and didn't make me feel stupid for asking them. One man in particular, Wes or West (sorry) was absolutely great, he made me feel so comfortable and had me laughing the whole time. And while I wasn't in the room I expected to hear some bad language and stuff like that because my walls are paper thin, but instead I heard what it seemed to me like a family, and each one was so eager to help one another. They literally had a competition to see who could make the line of silicone they put on the bottom side of my cabinet look the best! And since our cabinets were so UN-level they had to use extra shims, and ill tell you rite now, it looks like my cabinets are connected to my granite, absouletely perfect! And all four of them asked separate times if they could use my broom to sweep up what little mess they made, which I kept telling them no because I hadn't swept in weeks. Then I heard their big shop vac running and Tyler (one of the crew members) smiling as he swept up the dust... we all got a big kick out of it and all had a good laugh. He told me that they want to be remembered for the granite and not for a mess they leave behind... And that is exactly what I will remember the company for... Absolute perfection, Thank you so much guys! 10/10
