I went here for New Year's Eve, and the food was really fabulous. We started with a yellow and red pepper bisque, followed by a salad topped with candied almond slivers. My main course was salmon with a citrus glaze and sauted spinach. My fellow dinners had mushroom risotto, chicken florentine, and spare ribs. Everyone raved about their entree. The dessert was fabulous, too. The outside of the building looks somewhat humble, but don't let that fool you. The inside is decorated in warm colors and has a great cozy feel. The service was excellent, too. I highly recommend this restaurant! It is great to see another independent restaurant on the Eastside, and I wish them the best.
Been ordering from Bobs Tu Your Door for 20+ years. They are a south side staple. Great pizza loaded with toppings and cheese and great sandwiches, …
My husband and I were out for a nice dinner and thought we would try it because we heard great things about it. We were greeted at the door with a smile and seated right away. We were seated at a cozy table and our server appeared at out table (Chris) and told us about the special of the night. It was a crab stuffed ravioli with a cream sauce ... Chris sold me on it with how enthusiastically he described the dish (and it was AMAZING!) My husband ordered the lasagna and raved about how great it was for the last few days! I need the recipe so I can cook like the chef! I recommend Depalma's to everyone I meet and cant wait to enjoy the food again!!
Folks, I've been eating pizza for 50 years, and I have eaten pizza here and in 3 different countries (you all know what's coming don't you?), well it's the truth, and here it is, Pasquale's pizza is the best there is and I would drive 50 miles out of my way to get one. The employees there are courteous "when" they can talk with you, but that is rare because they are always running back and forth cooking and waiting on people, and that right there is a testament itself! No, I am not related to the owner, don't even know him or her, I just love there pizza!!!! Can ya tell? ;)
We've visited Maggiano's on several occasions and have always been very happy with the food. Tonight was crowded but when the clams weren't good enough to serve with the Linguine di' Mare, the chef came out to explain that she had put on extra seafood to make up for it and the waiter made sure we had a fabulous appetizer for the wait. They have a buy one take home another assortment of dishes which is a tremendous bargain. Portions are big. Maggiano's is one of the few restaurants that serves spumoni ice cream, so if you have a yen for that treat, absolutely go there.
Avoid busy times at Bravo. We told the staff that it was my daughter's 10th birthday and they did nothing but hurry us out in 45 minutes. No manager table check, 10 minutes for a beverage order, no wish of a happy birthday. Just quick, quick and turn the table as fast as you can without actually providing a good experience. Not an enjoyable experience with server Devin. Avoid him if at all possible. Shame on the management for not doing their table checks!
My kid and me make a yearly trip to this restaurant and always find it to be a GREAT place. Food is excellent, service is good and the waiting time is short. People are always quick to write something bad but would never take the time to put the good things in. I can only say, just go here and be the judge for yourself, I think you would find this place quite pleasent. As always I will be back to get the sicialin garlic bread and spinach tortellini. Powers
I went here with my family after church. Thee atmosphere was awesome as well as the food, but the employees and the service stunk. My Dads pasta was dry and crunchy and my mom got no sauce on her ravioli. We had to ask our waitress for more drinks. She should have asked us if we needed more to drink. 2 larger party that came in after us got there food and appetizers before we did. I'm not sure if I will go back again.
Atmosphere, food and drink were everything we were looking for. It was a very special occasion for us and we took the advice of the staff of our hotel. We were very pleased. If we had followed the less than 2 star advice of this web site we would've missed out on a very memorable occasion. We learned a very valuable lesson from this experience. Seek local knowledge and take this web site's ratings with grain of salt.
51 years and counting of Quality Service and food. I have been coming here since they opened and I was only 12. Now at 63 I drive from Brownsburg at least every other week to get a Stromboli Sandwich with pizza sauce and a Pizza. I even get to show my grandkids a picture of my brother and I at the grand opening. Linda and the crew have kept a great tradition of quality food and service.
My husband and I ate there on Dec. 29th. FABULOUS! The owneres of this establishment definitely got it right. The decor is warm. cozy, and intimate. The food was excellent. I had the penne with vodka sauce and two meatballs - delicious. The bread is out of this world. Only downside is that it is small. Definitely need to make reservations.
