I have done a few check loans here. They are not cheap, nor are they outrageous. All costs and requirements are clearly explained. The staff is helpful, respectful and professional
PLS is known for their check cashing , but people don't realize with cash they give free money orders, have pre paid visa you can get with 2 different choices of usage types(I've used the pay as you go because I don't usually have 10 transactions a month but if you were to do at least 10 the unlimited credit swipes for $10 seems deff. worth it if your not able to get a card another way.(free loading money and direct deposit available to. BUT most important imo is their auto and renters insurance. They ran a quote for me over the phone I like the prices for liability and went in and had insurance in less than 45minutes with my insurance card in hand(took proof of ownership and Driver License only). Friendly agent at the store most days and if not he is usually helping close by so I can get answers quick, explained how to go about claims if ever needed and even went out of his way to take pictures of my car (uninsured motorist coverage) so if I ever am hit by someone with no insurance I can still get my car fixed...it isn't full coverage(because I cant afford the extra) but non the less its better than basic liability! Thanks will continue to send my friends in!!
LOL I SWEAR this is true... I called them and a lady answered. I asked her what they pay for gold in relation to "Spot". She didn't know what I meant. So I attempted to simplify this for her. I asked what they would pay for a 1 Ounce Pure Gold Bar. She asked what Karat the bar is. I again told her it is a gold bar, 999.9 % pure... She said... I SWEAR I'M NOT MAKING THIS UP, "OK sir but what Karat is it? 10, 14, 22? If it is real it has 10K, 14K, 22K something like that stamped on it" WOW... Just...WOW! Is there a way to indicate less than 1 star due to unimaginable incompetence?
I wanted to sell a rifle that is worth $150. They said They didn't know anything about the gun. And asked how much I wanted so I said $150. They went and looked it up and did they could only give me $65. I argued with them for a minute and said fine I would take it. And the guy went to the little office room there and came back out and handed me the rifle back and told me to have a good day. Didn't explain what happened in 30 seconds that changed everything. Piece of junk pawn shop. Just another reason why I don't like pawn shops. I had several people tell me that it was a nice rifle inside the store, but the shop apparently didn't get it.
