I've taken American Taxi several times and prefer them.... I recommend them to my family and friends, especially those who want to go from the greenwood area to downtown since that is where i'm picked up from the most. When they can't get to me in time, they always get me someone who will get to me from a different company and it's alwayssomeone they trust will provide good service. in response to the person who criticized... i'm sorry if that happened (can't confirm as anyone can post here) but life happens. I love American Taxi as well as Indy Airport. Reliable companies in my opinion... but even they, who i consider the best, have been late once. American taxi they gave me a discount on the trip. I really think that driving a taxi is hard work. There isn't a single company that I have used that is perfect... but the folk with american taxi are down to earth and sincere folk and loL, as someone said, they do speak english and have manners. Such a plus from cab drivers, trust me. When I have to pay my fare at the end, I really want to be told what it cost me without trying to figure out what the driver said... that is sooo annoying.
My girlfriend and I grabbed a cab in Broad Ripple and took it all the way to the west side. The next morning, we realized she had left a bad with over $1,000 worth of clothes, makeup, and a kindle. If you know Broad Ripple, you know there are a lot of different cabs from different cab companies; It was near impossible to remember the cab company or the cab number. Later on that morning, after calling a lot of other cab companies, we heard a knock on the door. It was the driver from the night before. He had gone home, realized the next morning that the bag was still in the car, and retraced his steps to find us and return our bag. We thought for sure the bag was lost. Just for that, we'll be looking for a Prompt Cab when we're out next.
The cab driver's credit card machine supposedly did not work, and he wouldn't give me my suitcase until I paid in cash. It was very late on a Saturday night, and I couldn't get cash. Finally I called my friend, who came with cash, but the driver kept the meter running, and we paid over double the amount for the ride. It seemed to be a shake-down, because the driver's friend came over to him and said, "How much money are you getting?" The next day, my mother called the cab company and spoke with the owner, who assured her that this was unusual and he would take care of it. He was very apologetic and angry that the cab driver overcharged me.

PRO-Very late airport arrival but Baba Cab was there, thank goodness. CON-Live close to the airport. But a $20+ charge was ridiculous. Driver drove WAy UNDER the spoed limit. Trying to push up fare? Why not go the speed limit and return more quickly to the airport for another fare? Did not want to tip hi but did so as to not tick driver off.
I really have to thank Balde - Cab #095 and dispatcher... I was in Indy from Wisconsin at the Big 10 Tournament. Left my phone in his van... it was in very back seat. Had priceless family photos from the tournament. Balde went out of his way to return phone to me at 2pm prior to us leaving back to Wisconsin. Thanks so much!!
I went out on a Saturday night with a couple buddies of mine at PT club on pendelton pike, coming back home at like three in the morning our car quited on us on 465, we called them and they were their in 10 minutes, exactly the approx time they told us, the driver was a cool IUPUI student!
Great service, The owner personally picked me up and we had a great conversation from downtown Indianapolis to the airport. I would definitely recommend anybody who wants a great customer service and an intelligent conversation with a decent price.

I called this company to pick me up from downtown to the airport and they were on time. The cab was clean and the driver was an American who could speak english and knew where he was going. I'll be calling them again next time I'm in Indy!
