I went in with a groupon a few months ago and the gentleman who did my gel nails and pedicure was great (believe he was the owner). My nails were perfect. The only negative comment I had for that experience was that they wouldn't get me in that evening when I called in told them I had a groupon but when I told them I was bringing a friend who didn't have one, they agreed to get me in???I decided since I liked it so much, I would go again last night. I had an older short gentleman who continued to sigh loudly as he did my pedicure (not something someone wants to misinterpret as their feet being bad). Then I specifically asked if he could fill in my nail chips w a coat of gel before applying the gel (my nails are brittle at the ends). He seemed to understand me and said he would...he didn't. Many sighs later, I was finished. I asked him if my feet were dry, he replied yes. I tipped him well and was on my way only to get home and see my toe polish was ruined and I had to redo my feet. Later that evening I looked at my gel nails and where I asked him to focus on had already come off... $25 down the drain:( I am a positive person so I do have some nice things to say: the inside is very cute (tiki decor), they have a wide selection of gel colors, and their pedicures are reasonably priced. ok a few more gripes: The gel seems very overpriced to me especially since I have my own kit at home (yes, same brand) & it cost only $40 with my living social deal. They also charge $10 extra for a manicure which normally places include with gel polish...and it doesnt look that great:( $25 every two weeks PLUS gel removal cost is way too expensive to maintain.
There's a review stating she waited 48 minutes...I'm curious to know if she was a walk-in or not? I have been going here for over 5 years. Including the time when they were at WalMart. I would not trust my feet to anyone else! I had foot surgery in 2007, and my Podiatrist advised me to get pedicures regularly to help with healing my foot. My surgery was on my heel and I had some tender scar tissue on the bottom of it. They helped me so much by letting my feet soak a little longer (per my request) to soften my heel and then Gina helped it relax more by massaging it in a way that it just got better and better. And if you looked at my foot today, you couldn't tell I even had surgery. There is barely a scar visible. I suggest that BEFORE you agree to anything, you need to ask questions first! Every salon is different. They are a family owned business and they work very hard! They do not have a receptionist, so they have to answer the phone themselves. They really care about their clients, and don't let one bad review sway you away from them. They are very affordable...my pedicure plus a design on my big toes cost a whopping $25.00 and they work on me for an hour or so each time. Call a salon to see if they have an appointment. Think about it, if they were so busy...that should tell you something right? If this was such a "bad" place, wouldn't it be empty? Even I have to call in for an appointment, after all it is the polite thing to do.
I had relocated to Virginia from another state, where my nail tech did my nails for over 12 years. I went to Number 1 Q nails and been with them every since!!! The staff are so friendly! The atmosphere is very inviting. I have recommended this place to lots of my coworkers, who are now regular customers. Allen & Lucy are very hardworking ppl. I have grown to love them as family! There prices are very affordable. They give every customer that SAME treatment! I have been a customer of Number 1 Q nails for almost 2 years now!!! If you are looking for a professional atmosphere, affordable prices and great customer service...then GO HERE!!
I never leave reviews but this time I just had to. I had my daughters 10 year old birthday at this salon and it was a great experience for them all. I can understand it is a hard task to accomadate 11 ten year old little girls for manis/pedis on a Saturday afternoon. They done a wonderful job. Even gave them all different nail designs on fingers and toes and didn't charge me extra. That made my daughters birthday PERFECT!!! Even took pictures for us and gave them candy.
I followed Uyen (Gwen) from Wal-Mart. I met Tony, Gina, and Mary through Uyen (Gwen). Although I started years ago with Uyen (Gwen), I have received Manicure and Pedicure services from all staff members. Yes even Tony once, did a manicure for me. I would recommend any of them for a nail spa positive experience and have no preference when I call in as I am happy to see all of them and know I'm about to leave there looking and feeling better.
My daughter was a guest with the last review. She was very pleased and it was one of her favorite birthday parties to attend. This is the nail salon I've been going to for the past three years. Steve is who I usually see but I have never been disappointed. Great Service. Great Staff. Great atmosphere.
I've been visiting this salon since Walmart days. Staff is very polite, attentive and professional. I have taken breaks, tried other salons, but this salon is like coming home to family. The only time I've had an "extended" wait has been as a walk-in while the shop was busy.
Great place, great service and great prices. I was an old customer of the previous owner Chi chi. I'm like the upgrades and the professionalism but everyone is still personable. Wendy does my nails and Rose or Henry my feet. I recommend you give them a try.
Friendly place to be and good atmosphere. Spa pedicure is amazing with the hot stone foot massage. It's really amazing after get it done.
Grace did a fabulous job on my Signature Pedicure. Nice new shop, workers are very friendly. Will definitely be returning.
