Melo's Italian Ristorante

We travel from the Lakeland area to eat at Melo's. The food has always been excellent, served piping hot, and more than we can eat in one sitting. We never have trouble getting a group together to hit Melo's. Prices are in line for a higher end Italian restaurant.

The food is average and the prices are high for the quality. The serving sizes of the Pasta dishes were very adequate. The salad was only slightly more than lettus, infact a salad at Wendy's has more flavor. We had an appetizer Portebello with crab meat, it was bland, very very little flavor and the crab meat was below average. The coffee tasted as if had been setting and had a burned flavor, and at 2.25 they did not even offer a refill. The service was below average for the price and atmosphere. I would say the water boy did a great job keeping my glass full, I felt rushed when placing my order especially since it was our 1st time there and the menu was extensive and yet we had to ask that they pick up our payment. I would not go back again. This was a Tuesday around 6:30 and the room was about 1/4 full.
