Ice maker went out on my refrigerator scheduled service via phone would take four days for repair. After adjusting thermostat started making ice again after two days canceled appointment. Next day, no ice so went online chat set up another appointment which was even sooner than first. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Person who came for repair was kind and knew what he was doing. Took about 30 minuets and he was done been making ice since! Very pleased!!
Our initial appointment was scheduled between 8 & 12. We waited until after 12 to call because we had not heard from anyone. We finally heard back was told it would be between 2 & 5. So we spent an entire morning waiting for the service tech who never showed. Now we were waiting for an appointment between 2 & 5. My wife took off work to accomodate this am appointment and now we were in tor the entire afternoon. Worst service we have had in 40 years of dealing with Sears.
Call for a warranty repair on a dishwasher. It was a minor repair, a new door gasket. I was assured the repair tech would have the part on the truck. Appointment was not scheduled for 2 weeks.
My time slot was 1-5pm. At 5:00pm the tech called wanted to know my problem. I told him the door gasket needed to replace and was assured he would have it in the truck. The tech was very surprised and said they do not carry parts on the initial visit. He said there no reason to come to the house since he needed to order the part. OF course I said I been waiting 5 hours and your late number 1 ans number 2 you are going to order a part and schedule another visit 2 weeks from today.
OK 4 weeks later again a 1-5 time slot, the tech calls at 6:30pm want to know if he could come to the house. I had already waited and wasted another afternoon and by 6:30 I had left the house.
Ask if he would leave the part on the front porch and I would install it. He said he would but never did.
NW 5 weeks later I still do not have a new gasket.
GEE I wounder if Sears will read this!!!
It was discouraging that I had a large price to pay for the part that my dishwasher needed, but the sears guys help to make it a little more affordable and helped me make the decision to go ahead with the repair .They were both very professional . Thank you for your services !!
The serviceman was very kind and explained how my washer worked, how to take better care of it, etc. However, I was charged A LOT of money to come and fix my dryer and do regular maintenance on both. The dryer wasn't vacuumed out (lint trap), the washer wasn't touched either, except to run a test cycle. Too much money for what I received.
I won't say they were crooks but I will say they might not know what they are doing.... They wanted to charge me $500 ish for replacing a master cylinder for breaks when taken to another place they said it was ok and My issue was that someone left the caps off the break lines ... (doesn't that seem like it could have caused me to lose break power and crash ? ) I feel like they tried to kill me ... just don't know what was up with that
