The food is delicious and the service is excellent, but plan to be ripped off if you are trying to use a B1G1 free offer! I used my Money Saver card, which has an offer of a free Special Plate when you purchase another Special Plate and two drinks. A friend and I chose Special Plates that were $7.85 each and our drinks were $1.85 each, which totals $11.55 plus tax with the B1G1 free discount. We were charged $14.10!! When you use the Money Saver card you are not given a bill at your table to review, but instead told to go to the register to pay sight unseen! I questioned the cashier about the amount he charged and he mumbled something about extra chips costing $1.00. We had one refill of chips and no extra salsa. There is a sign above the side door clearly stating that refills on chips and drinks are free for dine-in guests, but cost $1.00 for take out. We left without making a scene, but I don't plan to go back. Even though the food is good, I can't trust a business who rips off their customers and doesn't allow them the opportunity to see the bill. Buyer Beware!!!
This is the best Mexican food restaurant in Independence. I absolutely adore this place. They have over 10 different variations of the taco, and most are only $1.50 - Deep fried ground beef and shredded seasoned chicken hard tacos. then there are the carnitas, pastor, barbacoa, steak, pork, grilled chicken, shrimp, MahiMahi fish, Queen Tacos. They have the best enchiladas, burritos, chimichangas, tortas (Mexican sandwich stuffed with your meat choice), unique dips and homemade fresh salsas. I can go on and on about this place. Large portions at an inexpensive price... VERY AFFORDABLE. It's family owned and operated, and everything is made fresh to order every day! I'm only one of their regular and faithful fans!!!
Yummy! First time visiting Queen Taco. Loved it. Simple, cheap, tasty, fast, great salsa bar! I had a crispy chicken taco and a soft taco al Pastor. They don't have a taco Tuesday special - special prices on tacos are Friday ($1.50/each) and Wednesday ($1/each) - tacos are just $1.79 regular price. A one pound burrito is their Tuesday special ($4.50). and they have all you can eat tacos for $8 anytime.
I have never had a bad meal at Salty Iguana. I am not sure what their secret is, but I love their food. It is not too spicy or hot. Also, if you want an excellent Margarita, this is the place to go. I am craving it again as I write this. The service is great as well. Honestly, this is my first pick if we decide we want to eat Mexican food.
The best new place, Queen Taco ! The last time we were there it was dirty. And the guy wiping off tables with a rag that had salsa all over it. Come on teach people the proper way to wipe a table. Clean rags and a disinfectant. It grossed me out I will drive to the one in Lee's summit. And we live in Harrisonville.
I don't know what the last reviewer is talking about. The prices are low and the food is good. Granted there are no frills, which keeps the prices affordable I imagine and I sure do love the $1.25 draws on Saturday.
Promptly greeted, pleasant server, and the salsa is always good. I have been here multiple times and haven't had a dish that wasn't delightful. Most definitely one of my top favorites.
The best authentic Mexican food in town. You will have to try to hard and a soft beef and chicken tacos Wednesday a dollar taco day
Service was good. Food was well prepared and hot. Chips and salsa were also good. Very family friendly
