In August my husband and I, together with my parents, stayed at the Argo Inn and Suites in Idaho Springs. The rooms we stayed in were filthy! Other guests we spoke with agreed that their rooms were very dirty.I told the front desk that the surfaces of our room had not been cleaned as there were food particles on the tables. gave me a white rag and cleaning solution to clean the room myself. I cleaned the surfaces of my room myself, which revealed that everything was indeed filthy as the white rag was brown after I wiped the table tops. I have never had to clean my own room at any hotel/motel I have ever stayed at!Mr. Chong, the hotel owner, told me that he would give me a full refund, but my family had to leave the hotel immediately. I told him there was no vacancy anywhere in town and he said, 'that is not his problem'. There was no where else anywhere nearby for us to go.I would never recommend anyone ever stay at the Argo Inn and Suites.
Disgusting!!!I asked for more toilet paper and the office manager/ housekeeper told me to wipe with my hands, forget about clean sheets and towels! We had to wash our own. Cigarette burns in carpets and bedspreads smells horrible! Stains all over. Bed looked like it was made by a toddler. Dust and filth all over everything! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Owner kicked us out because he could not get his wifi to work. Said I did not know how to operate a computer and that he did not want us staying there. We packed up and left, confused at what occurred, and very embarrassed. Fortunately I have since read online of him doing this to other people.Place looks very nice, room was clean and appeared comfortable, but there is no way I could recommend anyone staying there as the owner has this history of kicking people out for no reason.
