I am very picky about who I leave my children with and where they go. They have been at MJ since August and they love it there. The ladies that work there treat them like their own kids. They rock them, love on them, pay special attention to them, color with them, use positive reinforcement and constructive discipline. My 4-year-old knows how to do beginning math, letter and number recognition, he can count in Spanish, knows the colors in Spanish, has learned many new educational songs....I could go on and on. MJ is a great place to take your kids. They have a room for the smaller children. This is partly for the time the older kids are in preschool and partly so the younger ones can nap while the older ones have quiet time. The kids are not forced to be separated and they get time together. It is a very good system. I looked at MANY daycares before choosing this one and I feel this is the best place for my babies. I have never seen any child able to harm another child where an adult is not close by. Things happen because kids are kids, but the adults always step in. They handle situations professionally and lovingly. I have dropped in unannounced many times, so I know this is how they always are. Whoever wrote the bad review must have gotten confused. We LOVE MJ!!!
When we started munchkin junction, we saw the post here about Kids who need extra attention, and how MJ was unable to provide that, and we dismissed it, as our kids seemed fine. Since that time, our toddler has been diagnosed with some developmental delays, and has picked up several concerning behaviors (that he only, oddly, displayed at the daycare). Since he began requiring extra attention, we received constant feedback from the owner and workers in which the suggested that we should leave. We decided to stick it out, but we were eventually expelled after our son hit another child in a common area on an understaffed day. Our older son did well here, and enjoyed his time there. The teacher, who is leaving, was caring and kind, and was glad to give extra attention and feedback. In the end, if you have a 4 to 7 year old of average abilities and behaviors, this is your place. If you have a toddler, or a child who needs extra attention, you should probably go somewhere else.
I'm not sure how someone could give such a negative review for them? I'm a new mommy to a lil four month old and he has been going there since he was two months old...( so hard to leave him) the first day i dropped him off i stayed for what seemed like an hour, and they were fine with it and went about taking care of the other kids, and when I came to pick him he was in a great mood and has been more than half the time... When I did my tour what really drew me too apply was when I walked in it didn't smell like dirty diapers it was nice and fresh, and watching them play and help the kids learn new things it would be great for my lil growing boy. And the rates where very reasonable and being a mom my schedule is come and go and they work wonders with me with that. I know everyone has there opinions but it seems like someone has a personal hate towards them, so if you want a happy and inviting daycare take a tour and experience for yourself.
This is such an organized, structured daycare. Miss Vicki and staff are so awesome. My daughter loved it there. She would sometimes cry when it was time to go home. One day I went in at nap time, and saw each staff member rocking a child to sleep. i wish we still lived in Idaho falls, i wouldn't hesitate to keep my girls there forever. My daughter has a blankie, which gets dirty really fast, I swear that blankie would come home cleaner than when I dropped it off.... they are miracle workers at little dinos and super clean. On my last day of work, I cried in between dropping off my daughter and arriving to work. My thoughts were "oh man! I am taking away all of her friends and her second mom, and her structured life." It was extremely hard for me that last day. We miss and love miss Vicki and all her staff.
My one year old daughter has been at Papa Bear for a few months now and we haven't had any problems with management or injuries and I certainly haven't worried about the adult to child ratio. They seem to have it under control. The management is very friendly and willing to have real conversations with you as well as fill you in on all the activities they did that day, how your child behaved, and new things they learned for the day. They actually care that you want to know about the little things and are more then willing to take the time for every parent. I suggest touring it and checking it out for yourself because it really is a great place for kids!
Pretty disappointed. Holly Jackson (owner) is unorganized with her legal paperwork. She is unable to add up a yearly total for child care and instead gives you over 10 pages of daily amounts for the parent to add up. When it comes to tax time, this makes a huge inconvenience. Good luck trying to get her to assist with other documents too, like verification for child support. She did not comply and added the wrong amount in my situation which left for an unfair number. The way she manages her books is incredibly unprofessional.
We love Little Dino's! I went and randomly popped into many daycare/preschools around Idaho Falls. I was most impressed with Vikki and her staff! My son has been there a year and loves it! He did great last year in the preschool program and was well prepared for Kindergarten this year. The staff is great and very caring! When a friend of mine moved her from Rupert I referred her to Vikki and she has been happy with her choice ever since! I highly recommend this daycare to anyone and everyone!
My daughter has been at Munchkin Junction since the first of September. The center is especially clean, the staff are friendly and wonderful with the children. I have never seen any instances of bullying or excessive t.v. viewing. My daughter loves it and I wouldn't take her any where else. The owner is caring and loving and so are the ladies who work for her. Her preschool program is amazing. I would urge anyone who needs a daycare to check this facility out! happy mama
I love this daycare. My son has been going from age 18 months to 3 years. The staff are all very friendly and seem to love their job. It always smells fresh (unlike other daycares). They keep the kids active with activities and they have an indoor Gym!! Regarding previous review by pplusz. They must have improved the way they do their books because I received an accurate year end statement for 2013 tax year. Thanks and good job to Creations of a Child!
The atmosphere of this child care center is relaxed and happy. I would not hesitate to share with anyone looking for daycare about Munchkin Junction. My experience has been nothing but positive, and my child is excited every day to go. I think whoever wrote the negative review was not being truthful. I think it is a well run child oriented business and appreciate the care they give my child. In a nutshell, I am grateful for Munchkin Junction.
