WOW! I have an 06 Dodge Cummins 3500 with 249k miles. Superb truck with some high end aftermarket parts such as Dynatrac free spool hubs. It was time for ball joints and brakes, hubs serviced etc. I called a 5 star rated Idaho Falls shop and spoke to them about installing Dynatrac Pro Steer ball joints, servicing the Dynatrac hubs etc. Tech was not only clueless but arrogantly educated me on stock Dodge hubs explaining they were not free spooling. I hung up. Took truck to Richards and they completely understood not only the mods, but me, the customer! I don’t worry about cost, I just want superior work and the finest parts. I run my rigs 500k miles. Kevin at Richards did professional work and put new brakes on all around at my request as well. Serviced bearings etc as well as did a great job installing the $700 Dynatrac ball joints. Richard called to let me know of some findings and to get an ok to proceed. I said “make it perfect”. I was astonished at how reasonable the bill was!! I expected it to be double. They have my business for as long as I reside in the area. Murray Hamilton, Driggs Id.
Ross went above and beyond to get my truck running great. He kept me informed through the job, always returned my calls when I had questions and made sure I was happy when it was done. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
I have used Ross’ Diesel and Auto Repair several times over the past 8 months. I purchased a diesel pickup last fall and had Ross and Brian fix a fuel leak and replace some bad injectors to get the truck back into good running order. Unfortunately, due to apparent neglect by a previous owner, earlier this spring a piston ring broke in one of the cylinders and the engine was trashed. Not only did Ross and Brian quickly diagnose the problem and provide me with a number of options, they helped me to understand the impact of each option on both the truck and my pocketbook. Because so many are out there to “just make a buck”, it’s hard to trust mechanics these days. I can say that my experience with Ross’ Diesel and Auto Repair was the exact opposite. Ross strives to be straight forward with his estimates, hates to bring the customer bad news, and works far beyond the wrench turning aspects of the job to make sure he sends the customer out the door with a satisfied experience. I ended up having Ross and Brian replace my entire engine with a new unit. I have nearly 1,000 miles on it since then and it is working well. Ross runs his shop with an attention to Quality and Service that is hard to find these days. If you need work done on your diesel truck (by the way they work on all kinds of vehicles), I highly recommend Ross’ Diesel and Auto Repair.
The staff have always been courteous and friendly. The staff also seem to genuinely want to help you. That is where the positive qualities end. The staff’s knowledge of their vehicle (at least the Focus) is deplorable. They have not been able to answer ANY of my questions. Their maintenance shop returns your car to you more damaged than when you left it. I brought it in for repairs, I received it back with grease all over the interior and the console all scratched up where they took it apart. The parts department tries to overcharge for parts. They tried to charge me $180 for floor mats that I looked up and ordered at fordparts.com for $90.Update: The service department has tried to make up for their poor service by replacing the console (I would accept no less), giving my car a full detail and full tank of gas. I have not heard from the other departments. I am still disappointed that I had such poor service in the first place and that it took a bad review to get the service that customers deserve. If you do go to this dealership, make sure that you get the service that you expect. They will give it to you, but you may have to work for it.
I don't know if actually have a favorite one of them because it's actually depending on the store and THAT parts person IF they know what you are wanting to do and weather they are wanting to help you
I had loud noises coming from my vehicle so we took it in to be looked at. They said it was the A/C pump and wanted to charge me $1000 bucks for it all. I of course passed. I came in to pick up my vehicle and pay the diagnostic fee. This store has a sign that says all diagnostics $30 but when I got my bill it was $70. The mechanic said he did a lot of work and that's why he changed the price. I would never recommend this company. Don't put a sign up for prices, if you plan to rip people off and have them pay more.

n 10/4/2012 I purchased a battery from this company for my 2008 Acura TL. On 3/27/2014 I complained about corrosion on the positive post and Les Schwab installed a new connector. On 2/12/2016 I again complained about corrosion on the positive post. The attendant just brushed the corrosion off and told me not to worry about it. In the fall of 2016 I stopped to complain again about the issue but after an hour wait I left the facility. In February of 2017 (after 3 jump starts from AAA) I returned again to Les Schwab and asked them to replace the cables because on the last jump start I had to cut the insulation from the cable about 2 inches below the connector to in order to make a connection. I advised them that I had been told the proper method for the installation of a battery was to place felt below the connector and spray sealant to prevent the deterioration of the cables. The assistant manager explained that since the factory did not follow this practice on new cars neither did they. I was referred to a specialist who replaced the cables for $101.46. He explained that the felt and spray was standard industry practice. Since the battery near the end of it's life span I then went to Sears for a new battery and they also installed the felt and sealant and advised me that this procedure was standard practice when replacing batteries. I returned to Les Schwab and spoke to the same assistant manager who reiterated his contention that they were not responsible for my deteriorated cables and that they do not install felt and sealant since neither does the factory. In my opinion Les Schwab is negligent and does not follow industry standards when they install batteries. They also do not respond in an appropriate manner to customer problems with their installations and risk injury and/or death in our severe climate since this problem could have happened during a blizzard or in a remote location.

.....CONSUMER BEWARE ..... I DRIVE A 3500 2006 DODGE DIESEL .... I had Greg at Rod's Automotive put new batteries in it under 2 years ago. For the past year, I have been having problems with cold start on the truck. I took it to Ross' Diesel Repair in Idaho Falls and found that Rod's Automotive had put "Economy Grade Batteries" in the truck with only 18 month warranty. Anyone would know that a diesel truck requires more battery power than an Economy Grade. I talked to the receptionist and she confirmed that the batteries were indeed Economy Grade with only 18 months of warranty.... Period .... End of Story .... Rod's Automotive knows better - trust me. The $$$ was more important to Rod's Automotive than a Happy Return Customer ........ ....CONSUMER BEWARE....If you have paid their price and are on the road, they are done with you.
