Jessica R. Williams, M.Ed. has been working with students and families in the Washington, DC Area for over 20 years. As a former Classroom Teacher, Special Education teacher, Special Education and School Administrator, she has an extraordinary expertise of the Special Education process from initiation to implementation and maintaining the right program for all learners. Jessica is a career Special Educator of Pre-K 3 year olds through High School with five years of teaching experience and twelve years of School and Special Education Administration experience. Jessica holds a a Bachelors of Science from University of West Alabama, graduate level Special Education certification from University of District of Columbia, and a Masters of Arts in Education with a specialization in Teacher Leadership from Ashford University. As a parent of children with special needs, Jessica has a compassion for other parents of children with special needs to use her expertise to improve educational results for her clients.

IEP Review Would you like a second set of eyes to review an IEP or 504 Plan? This helps give our clients piece of mind and clarification on Special Education paperwork as well as on certain points and help deciphering common jargon within the document. Document Review Do you need help preparing for meetings and the Special Education process? Are there things that you feel need to be improved? Besides the IEP and 504 Plan, there are other documents that can be difficult to understand like testing data or psychological reports. We help you become more educated and better prepared by understanding the important details. IEP Repair Do you have minor concerns about an IEP or 504 Plan and might like some small changes made to the document?We will review the documents and take a more extensive look at the areas of concern. In addition to reviewing thedocument, we will make suggestions for improvement. Meeting Preparation Are you concerned about an upcoming meeting for your child? Do you feel unprepared? Do you need help understanding all of the paperwork?Whether it is coaching over the phone or having the peace of mind of bringing an advocate to the meeting, we will help you be better prepared for the process. IEP Replace Do you feel that your child is not making adequate progress and the IEP document of 504 Plan is not an accurate reflection of your child? We will review the current IEP and help you propose a document that is a better reflection of your child’s learning needs. Case Management Schools have a case manager maintaining your child’s IEP and 504 Plan, so why shouldn’t you? We will meet with you and discuss the Special Education process, monitor progress with the school, regularly communicate with appropriate school staff, attend meetings as needed, and be on-call as a valuable resource to you.
