when a cake order got overlooked by Walmarts bakery the store manager gave me my selection of the available cakes at no charge. I do hope walmart improves on following through on customer orders but I do appreciate them doing all they can to make things right when something goes wrong.
Emloyees, and even a Team Lead (Joel Miller) I spoke to seemed unconcerned in helping me find or purchase items from their store. I, being a Target associate myself in younger years, know their obtuse behavior, excuses, and singular location "policies" stem from nothing but a laziness to serve the very guests whose money they rely on. I have never had an experience this bad at a Target location, and I never will at this particular one ever again.
No working handicap carts available so there was no way I could shop this large store. They do have two handicap carts parked out front that have had "Out of Order" signs on them for at least a couple of weeks -- and today I found another reason why this Walmart doesn't have handicap carts for their customers -- because they have an employee using one to ride around the parking lot bringing back the regular shopping carts one at a time.
This is all around the worst Walmart I have ever been to. I am done with it. Anytime you call to check on an item there is no one working in the department you want. The last time I was there I waited over 2 hours to pickup a toy that was shipped site to store.
Two days ago i made the mistake of buying Sims 3 Pets for the PC instead of for the xbox. I didnt realize i made this mistake until i got home. Before i left the house to go back to walmart i called them and told them my situation. They told me i could bring my game back and trade the game in for the xbox version. When i got up there i waited in customer service for 25 minutes for her to tell me when i got up there that i couldnt "exchange" my brand new game for the xbox version. I then went to manager about this and they said i could exchange all i had to do was go get the game i needed and they would fix it. So i went back to electronics to find the game and they didnt even have any xbox? The lady on the phone told me they did so i was confused. I asked a manager if he could help me find it. He wasnt very friendly or helpful. I then went back to customer service so i could get my money back for this game. i waited in customer service for 45 minutes this time just for her to tell me that i couldnt get my money back. i called back the next day to see if they had got the xbox game yet and they said no. I then asked if they knew when they would get it and they said no.. That's when i called corporate. They said they would have a manager call me in two to three days. Today i got a call from one of the manager and he told me there was nothing they could do about it.. The total purchase i paid for the game was $52.96 he said he could give me a $10 giftcard.. what kind of crap is that? DO NOT GO TO THIS WALMART!!!
We can complain all day about the service, out of country merchandise, poorly stocked shelves, but the bottom line for Walmart is THE BOTTOM LINE. We're still shopping there aren't we? That's the bottom line, and all Walmart cares about. Convenient locations and shopping hours. Theft beyond belief, little to no security to prevent it~~ but their bottom line still remains where they want it.
