The hostess advised us it was free pie today.before I ordered the free pie I clarified this with the guy helping the waitress. Over heard him staying he was putting it on the ticket.so I waited and checked the ticket. It read free (what ever flavored pie)pie but charged 3.99 per piece ..his response ohhh Dude you put the charge in.he took it off but after him trying to rip me off I left the pie.never will anybody I know my family will go there where they try to rip you off again
An honest. Mom and pop. Cajun grill. A recommendation though is to study the menu. It's easy to come up with your own sandwich concoction.
That place is always awesome! Great food and service at an ideal price! I seem to be disappointed every time I go elsewhere.
We had previously gotten sick here shortly after they opened but we figured they deserved a 2nd chance. We were cheerfully greeted and asked if we needed a high chair when we were seated. Ten minutes, no high chair. Waitress finally gets us one, and we are waiting another 5 before she takes the order. Drink refill took another ten minutes- there was another customer nearby with an impatient look.My wife had the Reuben. It was fatty. She said it was ok. It looked like there was hardly any meat on it, so for what was there to have been fatty is unacceptable. I had a bite. It was not even ok.Mine was the Seafood Francais- filet of sole with shrimp, scallops, and artichokes over angel hair. Sounds appetizing, right? Nope. All done up together in a slimy unappetizing breading. The fish was not fresh tasting. There were only two scallops (the best part). The shrimp was ok, but the breading sort of ruined it.Won't be back.
Not worth the money they charge for the meals. The counter girl who served us was rude. We couldn't understand what she was explaining. When we asked her a few times what she was trying to tell us, she laughed in our faces and then turned towards the "cook" and continued to laugh. Then she moved to a "private"area, but we could still hear her laughter. It made for a very uncomfortable "visit". It was my husband's first time there and my second. The counter girl needs to be more courteous and learn to speak better English so we older people could understand more about what the restaurant was all about. This is our LAST time patronizing this place!
Service was great! Seated quickly; waitress was jovial & efficient. Decor was a tad '80's, but very clean. Similar to City Diner, but cleaner w/ better staff & food. The hubs had Lobster Sensation @ $17.95. It came with a generous house salad & soup. He tried the seafood gumbo, which he said was pretty good. His entree was very good & generous. Good taste, bad appearance. The gumbo looked like a cup of mud and the Lobster would have benefited from a sprinkling of fresh parsley and shaved parm. I ordered Stuffed Cabbage. It's served w/ spaghetti, but I subbed the Greek lemon potato. It came w/house salad, soup & veg. $12.95. My was great; Definitely homemade. and tender!Homemade ranch & blue cheese were bland. We jazzed them up w/ some of the feta spread meant for the bread. Will return.UPDATE: Return visit, ordered different entrees. Food just excellent, staff fabulous. Owner stopped by to chat; great guy. We have found our go to restaurant! Something 4 everyone!
The food was descent the bad part was the service which made everything else a not so good experience. We waited 20 minutes after our waiter took our drink and food order for him to bring our drinks. Then he forgot our dinner rolls we had to ask a bust boy to track him Down. Them we ordered two more mixed drinks he got us regular lemonade no alcohol so we called him over asked him to fix it and asked the manager needless to say they never came to fix it so we left
last night, my husband and i had our belated wedding dinner for two. His steak was mouth watering and very very tender---cooked to order. I had the japanese eggplant and it was absolutely wonderful. The green fried tomatoes were the best I've ever eaten. Our waiter, Tim, was courteous, prompt and our drinks were filled as requested. the chocolate lava cake with the vanilla sauce was to die for :D. Bravo! It was the first restaurant here in Huntsville we'd eaten at downtown and it was the best tip we'd received since moving here! thank you for making our wedding dinner very special.
Very good atmosphere. Great friendly service. Food was perfect. Music was at a correct sound level. Nice and cool AC. Lighting was right on. Great dining experience.
