General Info
In 1856, the H.S. Crocker Company is a lithography company that prints for the food and pharmaceutical industries. The company also manufactures thermoformed and injected molded cups and shrink sleeves. The first offset-lithographic press manufactured in America was purchased and used by H.S. Crocker Company and later donated to the Smithsonian Museum. In 1871, Crocker established its first printing and lithography plant in San Francisco. In 1885, Crocker erected a five-story plant, considered to be the finest commercial printing establishment in the West. Between 1950 and 1975, the company went through a series of acquisitions including Independent Lithograph Company in 1958, Strobridge Lithograph Company in 1960, Fraser Label Company in 1969 and Lockwood Folding Box Company in 1972.
