Awful bank branch. Someone stole my debit card info and was using it to make purchases and ATM withdrawals while I was home taking care of my fiancé while he was recovering from surgery. This happened three times. And all three times Chase employees told us “It was obviously you.” I was treated like a criminal and like I was dirt under the employees’ feet. All they did was charge me overdraft fees instead of hell get my identity back. Had to let the account close to get back control of my finances because this Chase location sure wasn’t gonna help.
Was a member of Rock Branch Community Bank(since 2013) which became First Sentry & at first, was relieved because RBCB is in Poca & I moved to Huntington where FSB is closeby,..Walked in to FSB main office to update my contact information, direct deposit info for a new job, & where RBCB merged; new debit card must be obtained. Spoke with Drema Winkfield who was nice & we covered all of the three aforementioned.Long story short, I had yet to recieve my debit card in the mail after 6 - 10 business days & called to verify the processing of my card. Drema told me she tried to get ahold of me but had an outdated # to let me know she was unable to mail the card because of inactivity. Anyone remember one of the three reasons I personally went in to the main office for ? Contact Info; that she failed to update & I understand people arent perfect but beyond people. The institution itself is extremely outdated. i.e most banks now can carve you a debit card out while youre in there. (PNC did so for me the first day i opened an account with them) So anyways, we acknowledged the errors & reissued the debit card. Long story short (again), found a better job in florida & told my roomate to let me know when the debit cards came in the mail. During this time which was early June, I had to use online banking since FSB is only in Wva. Going back to being outdated, the online banking takes you back to a windows 95 feel. So after another 6-10 business days; you guessed it! no card & i called up there & they had no records of me having a card reissued. By this time im still transitioning from the move & this money is essential so Connie , whom works at the Barboursvile branch I believe, was very officious & more hindering than helpful probably shouldve retired with the windows 95 online banking. I had been on & off the phone with them for the most part of June before deciding to do a fund transfer to another account which is a 25$ fee(most banks are free) but was worth dropping them
I wasted an entire month with this bank. I learned the difficult way that many banks do not lend for manufactured homes on permanent foundations (also on acreage). I was preapproved, filled out 40+ pages of paperwork, submitted all of my documentation, including an insurance quote that specifically stated that my intended purchase was a 'manufactured' home. This was not noticed, nor while fully knowing that they do not lend on manufactured home properties, I was never asked if the home was not stick built. I only found out this condition of their loan process two days after the appraiser was sent to evaluate the property. I was called by the bank and let know that they have no lenders (yes, they farm out their loans) that will lend toward the purchase of a manufactured home property. I asked if there was anything that I could do, I was told "find a new house." I found a new bank, and will likely remove a large sum of money from this one in the near future.
Was Payee of mentally Handi, acct was only Auth for my use yet let her Freeze, Unfreeze a dozen time ricocheting eating $2k plus over $800 in fees & admitted was their fault, but reported me as Bank Frauddd and I lost around $5k plus impossible to get good checking. They destroyed my financial future!
Had a Car loan & Few CDs, my Ex had borrowed 1mill+, but they let him cash & closed my CD's & said I did but lived in Florida & Unable to walk at time.
