Veteran comedians (and business partners) Bob Perkell and Jeff Capri who conceived the Surf City Comedy Club, explain; “We noticed a need for a local comedy club to accommodate the adults in the Huntington Beach and surrounding areas, so we built the club as a separate entity from the regular ‘kid’ services offered at Endless Food and Fun.” Surf City Comedy Club has become a “home club” for some of America’s most popular comics, as well as some rising new talent. The shows are billed as “adult,” but most shows fall into the “PG-13” to “light R” categories, which make for a pleasant and eclectic age mix of audience members. Bob and Jeff add, “Most comedy club chains in the area, offer only special event and theme-night comedy. We felt the need to bring back the affordable, three-act show format that made comedy clubs so progressive in the 1980’s.”
