Camp Loyaltown, AHRC is a private, nonprofit, summer residential and respite care camp that offers social services for children, adults and senior citizens. It works to meet the medical care, vocational education and recreational needs of individuals who suffer with developmental and mental disabilities. The camp also serves people who are victims of cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, hyperactivity, and visual, hearing and speech impairments. Some of its daily activities include swimming, boating, dance, music drama, cooking, ceramic product making, woodworking, fabric arts, athletics, and arts and crafts. Camp Loyaltown, AHRC provides a tution assistance program that receives funds from the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities in Nassau County of New York. Camp Loyaltown, AHRC is a part of AHRC, Nassau County Chapter.
