Lovely Nails One
Bike Parking: Yes
Initially I was pleased with Tony.
After my experience on Saturday I will not be returning. Very unprofessional to speak in another language and speak about the customer. You can tell when your being discussed when all the workers turn and look at you. I was not happy about the polish change. I was not happy about the pedicure that I HAD to eventually get to ensure a decent look because they didnt clean the nail properly for a polish change. I guess because I made them remove the polish change and do a complete pedicure, that is why I received a crappy pedicure. It is one day later and the paint is chipping from my nails. I will not be returning. There are plenty other locations in the surrounding area.
I've been going to this salon for 13 years! Everyone there does a great job. I've NEVER had a problem at "Lovely Nail 1". The owners, Amy and Tony are the nicest and most professional people! They make you feel like family. I regularly get pedicures, manicures, leg/arm/eyebrow waxwings, and solar nails. Soon, Amy will also offer facials and I can't wait to start doing that as well! It's hard to find a nail salon that does everything so well. I saw a 1-star review on here which truly shocked me. As noted, I've been using their services 13 yrs!! Never a problem. You won't be disappointed at this salon.
DO NOT GO HERE! This was my first visit to this salon. My friend and I both had pedicures first. My friend was cut first. The girl applied antiseptic and continued on, never even throwing the scrubber away. My friends cut was minor (but still not acceptable). About 10 minutes into my pedicaue with another person I was severly cut on the side of my foot. It was a very deep cut that bled. The girl acted like nothing happened. Her and her co-worker kept trying to cover it with a band-aide. Another customer in the chair next to me insisted that I tell the owner; in fact she called him over. He took his time coming over. When he finally did he just looked at the cut and walked away speaking to his workers in a language I could not understand. He never said anything to me at that point. Long story short, one of the owners (the wife) told my friend that the girl said I insisted that she use the scrubber/blade (looks like a grater with a handle) to "keep going" what ever the heck that means. The location of the cut is not in a place that dead skin would need to be removed anyway. I was charged full price and told "I'm very sorry" , that the girl was "new" and that was it. I'm on day three since it happened and the cut is still very deep and painful. While waiting for my nails to be finished, I noticed this place does not sterilize all their tools either. The scrubbers and "shavers" or blades they use are only washed in the sink. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! I intend to call the health department today.
