Ultimate Shutters of America is the manufacturer for Cypress Shutters of which I wouldn't recommend either company. Trying to get your blinds repaired or someone to ever call you back is next to impossible. Maria, the girl that answers the phone told me the pins on the blinds will continue to break from the sun hitting them so will be an ongoing problem. Don't get fooled like I did!
I purchased a solid wood with the high end glass and side lights for over $3k. Although our door faces West, the porch overhang is ten feet & we have an oak tree as well to block the sun. The door was gorgeous & installation was adequate. When the door needed refinishing last May, they advised me to send it back to them & pay $500 for the best job. Less than a year later, the door looks weathered & needs refinishing again. Jim sent their guy that did the work & he suggested a redo for $250. Unacceptable, I called Jim & explained how I felt less than a year after their best job. Charles was to call me 3 weeks ago & I have not heard from them. The original finish look much better after 3 years than the door looks know. They do not seem interested in standing behind their work. Would never do business with them again
I am actually the owner of Custom Built Shutter Shop I've been trying to get YP to post the right phone # which is 281-850-8741
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I wish I would have read this before I purchased my door from them. Same as everyone else. I was told 3 weeks and it has been 3 months and still awaiting. Building a new house and I am almost completed with it but still do not have a front door for it. It is a shame that I can build a house faster than they can make 1 DOOR. I call and call and they say they will call back but never do.
We LOVE our shutters!! We purchased from a local company that uses Ultimate for their shutter manufacturing. It was a great experience. We have referred several of our friends to the same company and they are just as pleased.
I visited GlassCraft on the advice of my friend. Betty was the most pleasant floor rep I have ever encountered. My schedule was very accommodated. The door was a super quality door. The installer Gabriel was very professional and he installed the door very well and neatly. Gabriel cleaned up my garage before he left. I will buy again from GlassCraft and I will certainly recommend GlassCraft.
Save your money. This guy is an unethical con man. He lies about the quality of his doors. They are poor quality and not solid wood doors as he promises. They are particle board doors meshed with wood and laminate material. He charges you for solid wood doors. They don't last 2 years. We are suing him in JP court. Don't believe a thing Mr. Fife says.
My wife and I purchased a front door and sidelights. We explained up front how we needed it installed quickly and asked if that would be a problem. We were planning to put the house on the market for the start of summer. The salesman said 3 weeks was normal but they could do it in 2 weeks or a day or two less. I have called 3 times to inquire how things were progressing and 3 times been told they would call me back later that day. None of the times did I get a call back. Today is the 3 week mark and I demanded to know when the door would be installed. Answer: Another week. They seem so unconcerned that my calls were not returned. Unbothered that the project is running twice as long as promised or that we are missing the beginning of the summer selling season. Terribly unprofessional. I told the salesman I would leave them poor reviews........here is my promise fulfilled.
My wife and I purchased a front door and a back door from Door Masters of Texas. Charlie took his time to explain everything thoroughly, and our initial visits were nice. After we paid for the doors (yes... we decided to pay for both doors up front... and they were not cheap) we were told it would be at least 2 1/2 weeks before installation. It took over a month. The back door was the hold up, because they kept saying it hadn't arrived. Even though we were anxious to receive our new doors, our main issue was the lack of communication. I learned about the back door not coming in after calling. They could have at least picked up the phone to communicate what was going on. So one Monday, instead of calling, I decided to visit their store. Well to my surprise, the back door had arrived and had just been freshly painted. The front door was already stained and the polyurethane already applied. Ken took me in the back to view both doors, and I was pleased and very impressed. Danny and Ben showed up the following Saturday to install the doors and they did an EXCELLENT job. The doors are beautiful, and the house looks and feels totally different. Danny and Ben were very professional and made sure to stay until the job was complete. No rushing... they took their time, even though there were a few challenges. The end result is amazing. The only reason I am not giving the company a 4 or 5 rating (like I would love to) is because of the communication after the sell. They have quality doors and their installation team is very professional. They just have to work on making sure they keep their customers in the loop.
