Do not use Ray Garcia for Trailer Repairs. The guy has ads on craigslist and also on Facebook. He did decent work on a friend of mines trailer so assumed he was legit.I am out $1324 and have nothing except a now unusable trailer to show for it. He has vanished will not answer phone calls etc.On our first original appointment to give me an estimate on replacing my axles, springs, brakes and hitch he arrived early and he quoted me $1044 for parts and $260 for labor.I wrote him a check for $1044 for the parts which he did deliver at my house two days later. I took the boat off the trailer to leave in the water for him to do the repairs on trailer the following day. What happened was a day turned into a week of him showing up at noon instead of in the morning when he said he would be there daily. Grinding on a few things tinkering around then he would disappear again.5 day later trailer still unusable boat, still sitting in the water. I lent him a grinder to use because his was small and he taking forever to try to rig the axles he bought that were built wrong to fit.I am now getting frustrated that my boat is still sitting in the water at Outriggers so he bolts on the axles with open brake lines etc so I can get the boat he says he will complete the next day.He needs money says he forgot to charge me sales tax for the parts and the hitch he bought was more expensive than the one quoted and wants some for labor upfront because he needs money.I give him 280 more total in cash and he assures that the trailer will be complete the next day.On the way to the ramp the drums are burning up something is wrong beyond adjustment on the brakes, I get the boat loaded and home. The springs are completely flattened out way undersized not safe to pull again. Brake lines are still open, hitch/actuator is not replaced, he took the one he had brought over originally and my grinder while I was at work.A week goes by of him not answering phone or text, finally on Wednesday he answers I am now assuming by mistake. Tells me “all part sales are non refundable”. I tell him “but they are the wrong parts” he says he will be out Today Saturday at Noon with correct parts to finish. Of course today Saturday at noon nothing a complete no show and once again not answering his phone.Worse than being robbed I have a nonfunctional trailer now with a boat on it that needs fixed!!!His number on Craigslist and FB is (832) 438-5561Feel free to contact me Garnett Beard at 832-603-1698 if you are thinking about doing business with this guy.
We had a rusted in 2" hitch that couldn't be removed for love or money. With the stealth of a station and the Braun of a forklift, the rusted piece slipped right out! They can handle the toughest hitch problem you have! Highly recommend ded!
