The car we got had a constant rattle from somewhere in the trunk that we couldn't find and became really irritating after the fourth day. We told the check in person about it when we returned the car, but he didn't make any note of it or anything. The next person that gets the car will sure know it if it's not fixed.
my not so good review does not involve this location but the overall service of Enterprise. i had a flat while 150 miles from this location so i called and contacted roadside assistance which in turn sent AAA. they changed the tire to the spare- no problem. the issue was that i was instructed to take the car to the nearest location. i informed the person on the phone that i was very limited in time so she called them and set it up and called me back to let me know that everything was taken care of. However upon my arrival at the location on I35 in Round Rock, they said they knew nothing about it and didn't have a car for me. But i could wait and see if they could help me. i did not have the time so i left and called Roadside Assistance back and told them they would need to bring a car to me at my conference or i would have to drive it back to Houston on Sunday on the donut spare. they said i couldn't do that and would, have to go back and wait. after a few minutes back and forth i hung up and contacted Enterprise through a private message on twitter and only took me two message and an hour to get a response and was told an area manager would call me. 5 days and still no call. so thus the poor review. they are very helpful until you sign the agreement and drive off.
Getting a car from Houston's IAH airport was a breeze! No waiting, and a great car for very little money! Way to go Enterprise!
I like that Alamo allow you to choose your own vehicle. The employees were very helpful. I am a frequent customer and if I have a problem, they will quickly resolve it.
It's a waste of money. Stay away please....They don't teach you manual truck driving, pre-trip inspection, 45 degree / 90 degree backing and much more. They say 400 $ for everything (2-3 hours of driving included)..lol and then if you want more then pay them another 200 for 2-3 hours of more driving and finally they make you to pay 700 to 800 $ for no reason.They have one old flat bed truck that breaks down half of the time. They trick you by saying some stimulation programs which is fake. It's a video game that they have and teaches you how to do the truck stimulation.Bottom line is Houston don't have any good CDL school except (HCCS, Lone star college etc). If you have money then pay 3000 $ to some school and get 160 credit hours or sign up with some big companies with a 1 year contract so they can pay you.You need one year of experience anyhow so do it right from beginning instead of wasting 500 to 1000 $ which has no value. If all the enterprises were like the one in Houston in terms of customer service Enterprise would have no problems ever!!! El Paso and San Antonio enterprise needs to take a few lessons.
Did not have car or car seats per reservation. Also had to choose airport location because they were only site that had car seats, no pick up offered so had to take uber. Passed other enterprise location on way to airport. Called ahead to try to arrange but no help.
I rented from Enterprise, Hobby Houston for 1 week, We started having trouble with our Suv the 4th day, not wanting to start. The 5th day we stopped to eat, the car would not start again. We called roadside service. We were told we could jump it ourselves. We were going 73 miles per hr on the highway the whole system shut down! We were in the middle lane but were able to coast safely to the side of the road. We got it started & got back to San Antonio, we called Enterprise. They instructed us to drive it to San Antonio airport (4 miles away). We arrived & parked in handicap ( I have a placard for my disability). Once in we spoke with a rude service lady instructing us to park @ the lot. I tried to explain I have a disability for walking long distances, the lady took the keys rudely said it`s not THAT far to walk! So I tried to explain this to the gentleman Dwight (?) how I thought that was incredibly rude! He said we get handicap people in here all the time. And ? This is how you treat them? Finished up & gave me same model of Suv. We had to walk to vehicle, with him, he (Dwight?) Stated see, this wasn`t so far was it? I was very shocked & upset! When we got to Houston Hobby airport 2 days later, I was told someone would contact me, I got home & waited 3 days. No one called. I called Enterprise @ Houston Hobby & explained the situation we had, we got disconnected & I called back. I was explaining how upset I was having the trouble with the car & how it literally could of been our death! How badly my Daughter & I were treated! Lauren(?) asked what could she do to make it right? I said a discount or an upgrade to say the least!! Lauren took my email address & repeated it back to me & said as soon as i`m finished with the customer in front of me i`ll email you a free upgrade.That was a week ago & I still have not received an email. I was also informed that Alamo uses the same vehicles, only they charge less!The other customer service & shuttle lady were just awesome!
