I had a wonderful experience with Liberation Gluten Free- Bakery. Angela, the owner, not only bakes some delicious goods, she is as nice and accommodating as a business owner can be. Let me paint a picture. I'm fairly new to Houston and my fiance and I are both gluten free and dairy free. 2/14/14 was not only Valentine's day, but also my girls Birthday! So, a big day for celebration and I, at the last minute, realize I need a cake that's not easy to come by. Time and skills did not lend to baking my own, so I scowered the web looking for a G free bakery. I came across the usuals, Gluten Fee Nation and such, but none were able to whip me up anything last minute on V-Day... understandable. I got Angela on the phone at 8am in the morning, explained my situation. She did not have the bandwidth to create a cake, but she offered to provide a batch of cupcakes for our Birthday celebration. We settled on Vanilla Bean Cupcakes, and she frosted them in her favorite color, blue, with some festive colorful sprinkles on top. They were delicious and made my fiance very happy at dinner that night. In fact, I've heard her mention the cupcakes to friends/family numerous times since. Another really cool thing is Angela works out of her home, which I appreciate. It is accessible right off of a major road and home baking is definitely a cleaner atmosphere. She also had no problem with me picking them up at 7:30 pm that night from battling Houston traffic. So accommodating! When I went to pick them up I was greeted by her husband, invited in to see the family (children) and treated very well. I tried not to take up anymore of their Friday night, but they didn't seem to mind and saw me off with kind words. I've said it all, but based on this experience I highly recommend Liberation, and 100% support small businesses like this---for all these reasons! Thanks Angela!

I've been a fan of Frenchy's chicken for sometime now and they still have that delicious recipe flavor. Their chicken is better than other fast food chicken restaurant, yes it's pricey, but I love the taste.
This has become my favorite burger joint in Houston and I haven't even tried the milkshake yet. Get the Bellaire special, a double meat, cheese and bacon burger that is not legal in at least 3 states. Be sure to have them cut it in half so it comes on a plate and you can catch all the goodness…
9. Pappy's Cafe
Our favorite place in the whole, wide world! It doesn't matter what you are in the mood for because you can find something to fit your needs at Pappy's. It is our 'go-to' place for eating out. They have fabulous spinach/artichoke, nachos, scorpian tails, salads, chicken tenders, chicken friend s…
I had never been to this place given its name. I was brought up to believe that a taquito is the proper name for a breakfast taco. So I thought this was going to be a generic taquito place; however, this place is great. It serves authentic Mexican street food, ie tortas and pork tacos. Great…

From Business: Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger sta…
As a single female who doesn't like to cook, but enjoys eating balanced meals, I've been going to Luby's for years. They have delicious fish and veggies. The macaroni and cheese is tops! The LuAnn Plate is a bargain... and is quite filling. The one in my neighborhood even serves breakfast now.

I go every Wed for half off games and the Best Happy Hour ever from 9-11. I love the Bartenders, they are friendly and funny. I would def reccommend you stop by and try it out.
I was shocked to read the negative reviews. My wife and I ate there for lunch today and had one of the best burgers in town. We also tried the venison chili and it was great-the real thing. I make one of the best pots of chili around and this was good! The chili is made from axis deer and is ver…
26. Chicken Kitchen
If you are looking for a quick affordable meal this is the place to go. Chicken Chop-Chops are very good, specially the ones with grilled chicken. The mustard and curry sauce is a MUST, I do not like curry but I must say this sauce is awesome, for the curry you can barely feel it. \r \r People…
I am in agreement with other reviewers on several recurring issues including the service which can be slow, and the high prices for small portions of food prepared competently yet without real inspiration. The menu itself is also somewhat limited in choices, particulalry for dinner. Executive Chef Ryan Pera is the inspiration behind the kitchen of The Grove. One of the best times to visit the restaurant is during its famed Sunday Brunch. It is when the natural lighting is at its best and is perfect for a front seat to the weekend festivities downtown. The restaurant offers a variety of creative spirits that set the mood for an urban relaxed lunch. One of the only places in Houston to offer a Clear Spicy Bloody Mary, The Grove has recently added a Banana Margarita to its drink list, which includes herradura silver tequila and coconut crunch, accentuating a fruity kick to brunch. A word of advice –be sure to use the restaurant’s convenient and fast valet parking services when downtown is busy. Parking in and around the park can often be hard, if not impossible, to find, depending on the festivities going on at the time.
My friends talked it up. Saying, it was a wonderful spot and they couldn't beleive I hadn't been there (being a native Houstonian) so I decided to go. My take on it was that I was unimpressed by the drab uninviting exterior & interior, the smell of grease permeating the air, the leaning undersized tables that were cluttered with condiments, and the perfectly square dining room that held it's diners shoulder to shoulder. The place felt like it needed a good cleaning to me. Almost everyone in the place was overweight (including myself) which directly correlates to the type of food they serve. Remember when your grandmother use to fill the bottom of her cast iron skillet with oil to make eggs? Yeah...that's what ALL of the food is like. It tasted just fine though. The service was fine and the people were freindly (patrons and staff) but I won't be back. I give it 4 stars because the place was PACKED. We had to wait in line to be seated at 9am. During our meal it began to rain hard but people kept coming! It may not be my kind of place but apparently, it is for lots of others!

All American Auto Salvage has awesome customer service and reasonable prices. Victor is great, very fair, and helpful. I was looking for rear differential assembly for my Chevy Trailblazer. They originally sent over one for a heavier truck but took it back and I was able to go on the yard to find the one that did match my truck. It is best to go out to find the part yourself. Unfortunately a lot of glove boxes are missing and that is where you'll find the part match information that you need. Tony went out in heavy rain without complaint to help us look through the yard to distinguish what truck the one came off of that they delivered and to find the one that actually matched. My truck is back together and running like brand new! The part we got from them was great. I would gladly go back to them and refer anyone to them. Great service in any industry seems to be lacking so I am always glad to have a positive experience. Thanks guys! Keep up the great work! Janice & Robert
Hello, I'm an employee in the office building located at 3151 Briarpark Drive. It has come to my attention that the manager at your restaurant located here does not always conduct herself with the proper attitude regarding customer service. I personally experienced a very sullen attitude from her after she burned the bread for a sandwich I ordered this morning. When I asked her to remake the order she slung the first order in the garbage and had a attitude when I asked her to properly toast the bread for the second order because it wasn't toasted. If you work with the public good customer service is not an option it's a requirement. I've spoke with other coworkers who have said they don't like going there. I can understand why. Clement Wilkins
Picked up a box of 6 cupcakes today.....all different flavors and all were HUGE and delicious! My favorite today was the cherry limeade cupcake.....very moist and flavorful cake.....and a good buttercream that wasn't too sweet and not piled on too high....perfect for me! The price was not cheap (about $20 for 6 jumbo cupcakes), but the quality and variety (we got the wedding cake cupcake, the cherry limeade, a chocolate/chocolate, chocolate w/m&m sprinkles, strawberry cream, and apple pie/cobbler cupcakes) is good, so I am willing to pay the price for good, moist, flavorful cupcakes. Inside location is very basic, but I am not there for the scenery......the delish cupcakes are worth it! We will be returning soon!

Very near and dear to my heart. Their po' boys have been my favorite food since the 1970s. I could eat them every single day and never, ever get burnt out. My 82 year old mother (who is also a native Houstonian), still talks often about how they had to have a cop direct traffic at lunchtime back when they were at their original location on Taft Street. I have fond memories of going there as a small child and being in complete awe (who knows why) of the wooden Indian that stood at the door. I was always compelled to touch it (again, who knows why! lol.) I truly feel sorry for those who aren't aware of the difference between the ORIGINAL Antone's and the "fake" one. Shameful. There is just NO comparison.
Sunday is the day my brother and I spend lunch together. We decided chilis because my brother really wanted a burger. Sadly to say I was highly disappointed. The waiter had no energy, enthusiasm and just didn't seem to care to be there. Someone else brought our food and she was very happy compared to our waiter. After being done for 15 minutes he finally came over to ask if I needed something. I told him yes, a to go box. I waited 10 minutes!!!! 10 minutes and no box! I gave up and decided that playing the waiting game or raising a hand to get attention wasn't for me. Not a good experience at all. I gave it a 2 because my brother enjoyed his burger.
