These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

Okay, so i used to ride here.....

Okay, so i used to ride here.... I would not suggest it. For pony parties, its great, otherwise, not so much: 1) Your children will be taught by other children. So your child will be taught by an intermediate 14 year old. (In my case, younger than me) 2) The owner is crazy and almoast always drunk 4) they mistreat their horses... the horses do not get supplements EVER! they get their shoes done and vet checked maybe 2 times a year at the most. 5) This also ties along with 4... One of the 14 year old students was asked by the owner of the barn to go into the pasture and chase the horses around with a lounge whip for exercise.. News flash! we have these new things called lounge lines! 6) They force you to do things. I was forced on a pony I had never ridden before to jump over 2', and yes I fell off.. (I have inproved drastically) While I was crying, they made me get on and jump it many times over again even after I was crying and yelling at them 7) One of their ponies kicked me in the knee once.. I told the instructor and she told me to shake it off.. 8) If you are a student during the summer or you take lessons often, you will be forced to walk ponies at birthday parties..... oh what fun walking in circles... 9) The horses are not properly trained.. they are not trained to listen to aids when approaching a jump. they run up to it and often make the jump feel akward for the rider. 10) you will not be taught much past the basics. When jumping, if you make it over at a decent pace or don't knock over a pole, you will be told good job and to do it again.. 11) If you often show, I hope you have your own trailer because the owner only takes his top few to shows, and if you havent been riding with him for many years, theres a good chance he will not cross your mind. 12) Again about the owner... I have never met him before. I rode there, but met his obese co-trainer who didn't even know how to teach people past the beginning levels. 13) the children at the camps are rude. One year my jewish friend had a santa hat on, to kind of blend in with the christian kids at the winter break camp. A kid walked up to her and asked her if she was christian. She said no, He then procceded to tell her that people of her religion did not belong in this country. Her (My friends) mom then went and had a talk with the owner and the owner of the big mouthed child.. lets just say he never came for the rest of the camp days :D 14) You will be put on horses based on your size, not capability. 15) I was put on almoast a new horse everyday... I would suggest to new riders to stick to one horse for while... After you get used to riding, it it good to ride multiple different horses every once and while, but for starters, dont use many variables because ever horse teaches you in a different and unique way. 16) If you are taking your child to the gym or having them do multiple after school activities like soccer, baseball, etc... No Need! At this camp, they have the kids doing their dirty work. While I was there, I spend countless days filling up water buckets, bathing horses in the hot sun, feeding the horses, cleaning up manure, cleaning tack, cleaning brushes, curries, picks, etc, putting up dividers in the arena, and other work that they don't feel like having their other students do.. so basically you are paying them for camp and having your children do their job... 17) no stable hands 18) they often have horses dying of unknown reasons... the horse that I used to ride they said they thought she had a heart attack but they werent sure.. so immediately, they burried her on the property and told the kids where she was buried so they can spend their camp days looking at horse graves. So I have now found a new stable where my horse gets supplements, his shots, feet clipped once a month, wormed, checked by the vet, clipped, bathed, etc. and the owner is nice and very experienced. So have fun :D

To whomever wrote the last com...

To whomever wrote the last comment/other readers, Although I have not been to Sam Houston Equestrian Center, I do recommend the following: 1) Safety first - make sure whatever facility you choose to ride at teaches you the basics of being around a horse. Such as never walk behind them, never tighten the girth while they are on the cross ties, always make sure their shoes are properly trimmed or shod 2) Understand how to groom a horse (ie. brush, pick hooves, etc), walk, tack up, correctly put on a bridle as well as saddle before you get on the horse 3) NOT all horses need supplements - additional supplements can actually deter a horse from getting the proper nutrients 4) Yes you need to have a rider be aligned with skill level or difficulty of horse but also in size - a larger person should not be riding a small horse 5) Riding different horses early on is a positive as long as the horses are quiet, reliable and are safe for the rider 6) Age of an instructor should not be a reflection of their skill level - age/skill level are not directly relational 7) First and foremost an instructor should be asking you about your goals, what you would like to accomplish and then set you up with the correct program - ie. private versus group lessons as well as level of difficulty of the horse So for those of you who have been detered by the earlier review, I recommend to still go and form your own opinion. I have been riding for 25 years and compete at a national/regional level. I have three quarter horses and ride in a specialized discipline thus have the credentials to make the comments I have above. I have ridden at stellar locations and less than stellar. So good luck and may you have the chance to enjoy your love of riding regardless of what level you are.

Ral's Fine Catering

I was referred to Ral by my wedding planner, Linda Stewart. I was very impressed of the different variety food Ral got to offer, not to mentioned the prices were right too. To be honest, I did speak to several other vendors before I decided to go with Ral. At first, my reason for chosing Ral was because his price was very reasonable compared to other vendors that I have talked to. However, I soon to find out that not only was the price was reasonable, but the food was very delicious as well when I went to the food tasting. Ral was very down to earth and was not pushy at all when we met. He was very detailed when explaining to me what was on the menu that I have selected and what will works best for my theme. Ral was very patience with us when it comes to scheduling the food tasting. At first, we had to reschedule the food tasting a couple of times because of my fiancé unexpected work schedules. Then, later we had to change the date on Ral again because we were dealing with a death in our family. Not to mentioned, we changed the menu on Ral at the last minute (to be exact, two weeks before our wedding date) due to our budget. Ral went way above and beyond for us and we really thank him for being so patience and work with us through all of these. Our wedding is 3/14/15 and I am so looking forward to eating the food again.

We have used Residential Leasi...

We have used Residential Leasing & Management for more than 7 years to manage 3 single family rentals in the Houston area and 3 in the Dallas area. We have found that they search for the best qualified tenants, have always reviewed potential tenants with us before they make a final selection and have always been available for questions, comments and the like. Matt, the president and owner of the company appears to be personally involved with daily activity and has always been available for us, even after hours. Leasing has been fast and all but one of the tenants they secured have stayed for more than 3 years each (the other was for 2 1/2 years). We would recommend this company to any prospective property owner or tenant seeking a first class company at very affordable management, leasing and repair rates.

I read about the Loaded Fries ...

I read about the Loaded Fries at House of Fries in positive review from the Houston Chronicle. So, we headed over for dinner last night. The fries are the best and the place is named appropriately, because they make you feel as if you are at home Every one is friendly including the customers who did not waste time expressing how often they eat at this place. It was a good experience all around and I will most definitely suggest this place to all of my friends. The wife loved the fresh meat burger, the kids had the chili cheese fries and I could not resist the loaded nacho fries with all the extra stuff on top. They even told us about the weekend special, which is 1/2lb burger, hand made with mushrooms and Swiss cheese on top. These guys are doing all the right things to make it happen and I wish them the best.

you will agree!

I enjoyed my lunch and revisited next day. I had the chicken thinders, served with the hand cut fries, home made gravy and tx toast. The flavor the chicken tenders was great and I got lots of everything. I even enjoyed the peach tea. Hey you got to give this place a try, the burgers are excellent and the fries is to die for. I will be back and will bring friends. This location had been different restaurants in the past, but I think this one will stay and I would be happy to pay and extra dollar for any meal they have to make sure that they will make a profit and never go any away. I enjoed each meal and so did those that came with me. This is my first review of any place, but I read reviews all the time, thanks for that house of fries and see you soon! John

I hate writing reviews because when I do,the place becomes too popular, big lines start forming and I have to start making reservations, wait in line, etc. I like Tradicao as a neighborhood Gem that no one knows about it yet. To me Tradicao is more laid back than other Brazilian Steakhouses that I have been to.I can enjoy the meal with my hubby, sip on some wine, relax and talk. I love the Baby Beef"Top sirloin" it's tender, juicy and if they are not very busy they will cook it the way I like it. Their wine list is pretty impressive, their desserts are delicious. I usually ask for the real Brazilian items like wine, beer(Xingu),lemonade( a little sweet but my grandkids love it),desserts ( Papaya cream, flan...),mixed drink ( caipirinha), etc.

Sam Houston Equestrian Center

This may be a convenient location to board a horse, but I found the riding lessons to be sub-par. The instructor I had (Jordan) basically stood around for 30 minutes and let me and others walk in a circle with very little verbal communication and feedback. I have taken riding lessons at many places and after one lesson at Sam Houston Equestrian I realized that there had to be better options. In fact, there are many stables that are just as close with better quality instructors. My advice is to skip this place. especially if you are a beginner.

First of all lets all agree that Rals fine catering is really fine catering at its best. the food was exquisite. my wedding was phenomenal . the service was good too. I love love Rals presentation its one of the best in the industry at such an affordable price. The only problem we faced was that He is usually fully booked all year round and one has to book way in advance to get a spot. I highly recommend them if you need a well established events caterer. Your guests will be very impressed.
