One of the best places in the city to nurture your spiritual growth

For 20 years I did not go to a church. Then I found this one and realized that it could nurture my spiritual growth in so many ways without making me feel bad in the process. I love the ministers, the people, the energy, the new sanctuary, and the vision of being a dynamic spiritual center. I have so many friends there I can hardly meet with them all. If you're looking for a place to spark your spiritual growth and keep you motivated and feeling good about yourself, as well as a place to be of more service, this is as good a place as you'll find.

A great church and community for intelligent, broadminded folks

I have been of member of several different denominations and found value in all of them. But Unity fits me best because it seeks, teaches and practices the highest truths, without rigid dogma... It is based on the teachings of Jesus, yet it recognizes and teaches truths from whatever source. If something is true and useful, it finds a home at Unity. There is also no inherent conflict with attending or being a member of Unity and also of another denomination, as far as Unity is concerned. It is a very open and open-minded church. Those who seek to continually learn and grow will find Unity very compatible. You might want to check it out and see if it offers something for you. It certainly has for me! I will also say that Unity is extremely compatible with many Buddhist teachings and practices. For me, the two greatest teachers are Jesus and Buddha, so this works out well! Unity also emphasizes the value and practice of meditation, just as Buddhism does.

This particular Unity church in Houston is very vibrant and active with terrific ministers on staff (I am not staff or minister myself!). Also, it offers many activities and classes for all ages, from Yoga to Toastmasters (for improving speaking and Leadership skills) to singles groups, senior trips, plus nationally renowned speakers from time to time. And more!

Connect with your Higher Power in a positive, practical way!

I found Unity Church 20 years ago, and I've been coming back regularly ever since! The principles of love and acceptance, and the Truth that God is our ever-present, intrinsic, internal Guidance, have sustained me through dark times, encouraged me during challenges, and cheered me on in triumph.
The teachings of Jesus Christ are explored and applied in ways that are easy to incorporate into our daily lives. Rev. Howard Caesar always says ""Life is meant to be Good!"", and I've come to understand that and live it. The best friends I'll ever have are folks I've connected with at Unity! There are activities for people of all ages, everyone is warmly welcomed here, and the News is always Good!

Your heart will tell you that you have found what you are looking for!!

Unity Church is about the unity among us all. We have all experienced that unity when we see the love between a mother and her child, when we observe the joy and innocence of a baby, when we share sorrow with another, when we are awestruck by a magnificant sunset, the calmness of a stream, the power of a waterfall, and the love between couples of all ages.

Unity believes that God is the source of all love, beauty, joy, and calmness - it surrounds us and dwells within each of us because we are all spiritual beings having a human experience. Unity helps us listen to that 'still small voice within' and reestablish that love and joy we remember feeling at a different time.

We come together in our new sanctuary, surrounded by inspirational music and practical lessons in truth and spiritual principles, with our friends who look at our inner qualities and speak from one soul to another with acceptance of each other. We welcome you to visit with us and feel the love that moves through our campus and shines in the eyes of fellow travelers on the road of spiritual growth, and rings in the laughter of our children.

We are easy to find. Turn off of Westheimer onto Hillcroft, then left onto Unity drive and there we are. Give yourself the gift of remembering what life can be like if you choose to change your perspective of what is really, really important to you. I look forward to meeting you.

Most Welcoming Church in Houston, Texas

I found Unity Church to be the most accepting Church in Houston and I'd been looking for a long time. This Church has given me the diginity to develop my own Spiritual journey. There was never any pressure to become a member and eventually I did join because I wanted to be part of this inclusive Church where everyone is welcome.
Their bookstore has books & materials on most religions and everyone is encourged to learn about and find what fills their needs. The Speaker series is awesome.
If you're looking for a refreshing place to fill your Spiritual needs Unity Church of Christianity is for you.
