After taking a 1/4 of my wardrobe to these people, I regretted it immediately upon the 1st attempt to pick up the “altered” clothes. These people are in the wrong business. They ruined the clothes –every item was messed up. The back seam on every pair of pants was crooked. The seam on the suit was crooked—as in pulling to the right by over an inch. The side pockets of every pair of pants were pulling to the front and wouldn’t lay flat anymore. The waistband was taken in but the rest of the pant wasn’t properly taken in with darts so the pants were gathered and sewn to the waistband creating a “blousy” appearance – fine for a skirt, but not for men’s pants! NONE of the clothes had the creases ironed flat once the hems were let out. Do they not own an iron?
After complaining about these issues, the young man behind the counter offered to take half off the bill and they would do the alteration again to try and fix them. They refused to let us take the clothes. After returning the second time to see the redo of the botched job, the clothes were STILL improperly altered. Seams were still crooked; hems puckered, not pressed, waistband was gathered. Here’s the clincher – the guy’s mother (who did the sewing) pitched a fit to him when she learned he had offered to take half off of the bill so he reneged on his offer! He then informed me I would have to pay full price for their shoddy work!! His mother – the so-called “seamstress” is unbelievably rude on top of having zero talent with a sewing machine. I ended up telling them to call the police so I could have a witness to the debacle. I did end up paying for the entire amount while I was there because they refused to do the right thing, but I will be taking them to small claims court so I will be reimbursed for the expense of them ruining the clothes.
Needless to say, I will never go here again and I recommend that no one uses this place for ANYTHING.
