I purchased a Groupon in April for the Gutter Man's services. Immediately after the purchase I contact them to set up an appointment for them to come to the house. The customer service representative stated they were currently setting up appointments for two week in advance. I opted to make my appointment a month in advance in order to get them to come out on my day off.
The day before they were to arrive I received a call reminding me they were coming to my residence. The representative stated he believed the employees would be arriving in the morning. The representative then stated but they were currently running behind due to poor weather my area was experiencing.
The day of the scheduled appointment I was stuck at my residence all day without even a phone call letting me know they were behind. I contacted the company at 4:30 and the representative stated they crew was supposed to have already been at my residence. The representative stated she would contact the job foreman and she would call me back with an ETA.
At 4:50 after not receiving a call back I contacted the company again. The representative stated the crew was supposed to have called me. She stated the crew was way behind schedule due to the poor weather and the amount of Groupons and Angies List coupons they have sold. I said that was ok I understand I would like to make sure they will be coming to my residence on the next day to complete my SCHEDULED service. The representative raised her voice stating that is not going to happen. I will have to schedule in the second week in June (another month away) I advised the representative of the circumstance of my appointment and loss of my time waiting at my residence. This fell on the deaf ears of the representative who immediately stated I guess you will have to contact Groupon and get a refund. I then informed the rep. I would be posting negative reviews on every website about the TERRIBLE service I was being offered. This caused her to begin yelling WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT! I describe the entire experience to her who ended our conversation with "Get your refund." Of course by that point I was to the point I no longer wanted to talk to this awful employee and hung up.
I purchased a living social coupon which I suggest everyone read the fine print which borders on "bait and switch" it tells you it's good for up to 250 ft. but fails to mention how much more you pay for any additional footage. Jeff Lambert came down and explained I would have to pay an additional $141.50 which was pure sticker shock on top of the $75 I paid for the living social. I declined the offer at the time even after I asked if he could do part of the house which he said he could not do because "everything is connected". When I called back deciding to eat my losses they wanted to charge an additional $37.50 "trip charge" which they claim was explained but was not and is not on any paperwork that was given. I strongly urge you to go with another company.
