I have visited this nail place as a regular (every two weeks) for months now and am saddened to have experience the worst customer service on my last visit. I had visited the salon on a Friday for an infill on my acrylic nails as always however this time one nail broke on the Friday evening. I came back on the Saturday morning to get it fixed and this is where it all went wrong. Firstly I was paired with a lady who does not do my nails, she done a terrible job and tbh I do not think she is a bad technician I felt like she was being rushed through the job in order to serve other customers waiting. It's ok, A kind of bad nail I can deal with. As I went to leave I assumed like any customer who has purchased something that has broke as little as 5 hours later this nail repair would be free. I have paid for nail repairs in the past, nails that have broke 5,7,10 days later yes. No I was stopped and asked for a payment. When I explained I felt like I shouldn't have to pay (the $4 charge is small but it's the principle.) I was rudely and abruptly told by the manager that I have to because it's completely my fault. When I say rudley I mean so that I was taken aback she would speak to me in that manner in front of other customers. I am not a newbie I have been going to the salon for months. I stood my ground and she said that they would cover the charge this time only. I took the gesture kindly and left. To ad more insult the matter I called two weeks later to book my infill appointment when I was told I can't until I pay outstanding 4$ on account!!! I explained to the receptionist who claimed to be the assistant manager my story and she said and I quote "well you've obvious already told them your story so eh." Completely dismissing me as a customer. I'm completely in awe that a company has willingly thrown away a good relationship with a loyal customer giving 49$+ to their business bi weekly over 4$. It's a shambles and I would not recommend this place at all.

Services had: brow/lip wax, mani, pedi, artifical nails
I love Susie's and have always had an amazing experience. The level of attention paid to clients is unsurpassed.
You are greeted upon entering every time. When being seated for service, you are offered a warm neck wrap, a magazine and a drink.
The technicians are top-notch. They use auto-clave sterilization and disposable nail files/buffers. You are asked if you want to take the file and buffer with you, if not they throw them away.
For waxing, you are taken into a ""Zen"" type room. There is soft music playing in the background. A light massage is given once your waxing is complete.
The location is conveniently on the corner of Bay Area & Space Center. The are open seven days a week.
I've been a customer since they've opened in 2007 and will always come back.
For the negative reviews, you might have them confused with the other Susie's in the area.

I have to say, I'm amazed by the service I got at this nail salon. I am VERY picky about my nails and they did a great job. The salon is very clean, and all the tools they use are sterilized. They don't re-use the nail file and buffers, so you choose if you want to keep them or have them throw it away. They have millions of colors to choose from, especially with shellac unlike other salons where your limited to the colors that you can choose. I think they are reasonably priced. At most salons, i feel like they rush and don't take their time to make sure my experince was amazing, but at Susies, I feel like they actually care about the customers. I also love the brow waxing, they massage your brow area after your waxed and the room they put you in is so calm and relaxing. When i'm getting a pedicure, i feel so relaxed that i don't even wanna go home. I'd say this is one of the best salons i've been to hands down!

This Nail Salon is a joke. Check out my profile pic to prove it. This was after I spent $75 to have my nails done. Clearly the nail tech could not tell that she had done my nails with different colored powders?!? Some are pink and some are clear! Also, it is pretty obvious that one nail was smudged and ...I will not discuss the length of the white tips.....
I have been going here for a while. There are 2 good nail techs here and a ton of techs trained to give overpriced pedicures.
My Mother In Law always gives me a ""treat"" once a ayear to go to Clear Lake's most upscale spa (Beyond Beaute) to get a pedicaure and it is FABULOUS. Imagine my shock when I found out (after my AMAZING nail job featured) that BB was ACTUALLY cheaper than this place!!! Are you kidding me? Don't be fooled by the free drink ( you get that at BB, too) and stuff you read on here (because the manager gives $10 off services for every good review written) - this salon is a typical nail place that only goes above and beyond by putting a bowl of ice cream and a glass of wine in your face. Trust me, if you have $50 to spend on a pedicure, go to a real spa....don't go here. The positive reviews were clearly written for te discount. There is NOTHING amazing about this place.

I decided to try Susie's Nail in Clear Lake area after reading so many wonderful reviews about them. Let me tell you ladies, they will not disappoint you. They are as clean as the other reviews said and everyone's very friendly and attentive. I splurged myself with their newest ice cream pedicure because well, they mentioned a bowl of tiramisu ice cream to enjoy, I was sold! :)
I felt like a little kid in a candy store. I got to pick out an ice cream flavor for my feet and the rest is pure bliss. I was in heaven when they were done with me. It was definitely an afternoon well spent---a glass of chardonnay, a bowl of tiramisu ice cream, and ice cream for your feet--I just love my sweet life!
This place is a little off my beaten path but it was definitely worth the drive. So the next time you want to pamper yourself, why not try them and discover what the rest of us are talking about. It is definitely a hidden gem in the Clear Lake area!

I cherish the time I spend at Susie's Nail salon. It's always peaceful and relaxed in the shop. The decor is low on commercialism and tastefully soothing. The music is eclectic combining several genres in a really good mix. The service is unhurried and the general mood of the shop is genial and upbeat. Everyone on staff always seems to be enjoying what they're doing and the customers always seem to be enjoying the service. I believe in any small business the general feeling of the business environment is a direct reflection of the owner. In this case, Michelle brings a lovely attitude to her shop and it is definitely reflected in all who work there.
I have never smelled even the slightest whiff of the chemicals that normally overpower one upon entering a nail salon. So I'm not sure where lilypad was when she had the experience described in her review. I respectfully wonder if she's gotten confused and really visited another salon.
Ordinary? Susie's is not.

I have to say... I was totally fooled by these so called great reviews! I am new to the area and wanted to look for a really good nail salon. I've never really seen so many great reviews for just one place. I was really excited and was expecting a fabulous salon (as the reviews claim). I thought I was in the wrong place when I arrived! The horrible smell of acrylic was the first thing I experienced. It looked like any ordinary nail place! I tried one of their ""specialty pedicures"" that was nothing special at all! Scented lotion and mask was all that I had slapped on my feet. Not worth my $60 at all. I'm from California and you can get a much better pedi for half the price. BE WARE of these perfect reviews. If something sounds too good to be true... it probably is.

I live really close to here so I tried it because of the convenience... I walked in without an appointment but the receptionist was very friendly and they fit me in. The technician had me sit back in a comfy chair, handed me a menu, and told me to relax. Warm neck wrap, mimosa, wonderful atmosphere...the best experience I've had getting my nails done...EVER!! I'm really picky about how my nails look...I didn't have to complain about anything. She asked what I wanted upfront...and she did them EXACTLY how I wanted.
The pedicures are awesome as well. I'm usually too ticklish to get my feet done...but it was actually great here. I'd recommend Susie's Nail and Skin Care to everyone!

I booked a princess pedicure party for my daughter at Susie's in June 2009 for her birthday celebration. The entire experience: foot soak, drinks, relaxing herbal neck wraps, massage, etc. was absolutely loved by my little girl and her friends. They had my daughter and her friends sitting together in a row of spa pedicure chairs so they could chat while getting their manicures and pedicures. Everything was immaculate; they even clean their instruments in a medical-grade autoclave--now that's medical integrity not seen at other places! The girls still talk about their great party experience at Susie's and the cute file and buffer they got to take home with them, because they DO NOT reuse things they cannot disinfect. I am impressed!

So I live in the Clear Lake area... I have gone to practically every nail place in the area and no one has ever been as good as Susie's. After reading reviews at citysearch I went to Susies. OMG! I have never been more happy! The pedicures are the best! They have different types and I get a different one every time! They give complimentary drinks and neck wraps. They take their time and are no rush to finish even though there are clients waiting. They are super clean too! I go every 2-3 for refills and get pedi's once a month! Oh and there nail polish does not chip!!

They have a great variety of services, including specialty pedicures, waxes, manicures, and massages. All the technicians do a great job, so you don't have to worry about getting a bad job. They have complimentary warm scented neckwraps, and alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic drinks. This is the best salon I've found in my area!

The best pedicure place in town!! My girlfriends told me about this place and I decided to try it. I am so glad that I came. The service was phenomenal. The environment is very relaxing. I love their music selections--just soothing to the soul. There are so many pedicure choices that I was a little overwhelmed.
They sterilize all instruments just like in a medical environment. All the staff is friendly - seem to genuinely care about your experience. They offer beverages and a heated neck wrap. I had the Hot Stone Pedicure because I love massages, and it was amazing. One whole hour of rub down was awesome. I will definitely be back and back and back again.

Ok being a man who is very much secure in my manhood. For the men who do actually like to get the mani/pedi as the ladies call it, this is the place. You don't have to be feminine to take care of yourself and yes men, women appreciate it. What better then having beautiful ladies taking care of you? The service is second to none and the great personalities of the staff don't get much better. Go see them and tell Michelle Big Daddy sent you.

I've tried many manicure and pedicure spas all over Houston, and Susie's is by far my favorite. Susie's offers a variety of specialty manicures and pedicures with extra indulgences--high-quality products, hot towels, scented scrubs, a great selection of nail polishes, etc. Customer service and attention to cleanliness are fantastic. Michelle is my favorite technician: my manicures and pedicures have never lasted so long! I live in Houston, but I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Saving $$$ and feeling special are definitely worth the short drive to Susie's.

I just moved here from Galveston and was desperate to find a new nail place. I did my research on citysearch and found this cute place tucked away in the heart of Clear Lake area. Loved the place and the service as well. They provide a great spa atmosphere for manicures and pedicures without going to a full service day spa. Susie's Nail Spa truly specializes in giving a pampering pedicure & manicure. You are offered a drink and a menu of the most enticing pedicure experiences. If you haven't been by you must go treat yourself. You will be hooked just as I have. My favorite pedicure so far is the Cucumber Pedi for my rough, callused feet, but I don't doubt that eventually I will try all of the pedi selections. The best part is, they sterilize all instruments in the autoclave just like the ones used in the medical facility. Every staff member is very polite, friendly, experienced, and completely focused on the customer.. I am so grateful to CitySeach for having this business in their listings. I am addicted to this place!!!!

I have been to many nail salons before and Susie's is the BEST ever! Every single time I get my nails done at Susie's my nails look perfect and and the polish never chips. My service is always great and everyone is nice and I am never rushed. I love that the manicurists open their tools right in front of me, so then I know that they are using clean tools on my nails. If you have the chance to go to Susie's Nail Spa definetly go it is the BEST EVER!! This is a great place to hold a birthday party or before starting a girls night out on the town. You can bring champagne and appetizers to enjoy while you're getting your manicure or pedicure. Although you can just walk in, I would recommend making an appointment as the place was busy before we got there and remained so even after we left.

This is by far THE BEST spa in Clear Lake area. I got a gift certificate for a mani & pedi and never had a better mani/pedi experience than my experiences at Susie's Nail Spa- it's the most sanitary, the most relaxing, and the most luxurious. I love that you can have a drink while you have your treatment. Just wonderful- a gift certificate here would make an awesome gift.

I got a gift certificate to this spa for my birthday. I decided to play ""hooky"" from work one day, and booked a massage and pedicure here. Let me tell you, everything I had heard about this place from friends was true. An amazing place, and amazing treatments. The space is so open, yet warm and cozy too. If you are used to a resort level spa experience, this is the place for you. Hard to explain, you just have to experience it for yourself. It certainly made my long Monday much easier. The massage therapist was awesome and my pedicure,oh my, where do I begin?? I have never seen a pedicure menu this extensive. I was so overwhelmed by the different pedicures they offered. I had the Signature pedicure but I will be coming back to try them all -:)

Susie's is the greatest nail salon in Clear Lake. The quality of the manicures, pedicures, and waxing is top-notch. Ambience is adorable without being stuffy, unlike other places in town - you will always feel comfortable at Susie's. I do a lot of entertaining for work, and I always bring people to Susie's - there is no place better.
