I know its busy this time of year but, Sephora at Galleria mall has the worst customer service ever. No one assisted me i did not get a receipt for what I bought and the cashier looked and treated me like if I was stupid I'm a VIP Rouge never shopping there again.

5 star for product, 1 star for service

So when I called to make an appointment I was told that I would have a makeover and MAKEUP LESSON with Ashley.
When I got there she was with another client so another girl started me out by cleaning and moisturizing my face. She was high energy, very friendly and I could tell that she was passionate about makeup. This is what I expected from Ashley but boy was I wrong.
When i sat down in Ashley's chair it was very obvious that she didn't want to be there. I had to prompt her to try different things on me like "" Can I try a mascara"" or "" how about some eyeliner"". When I called to make the appointment I was under the impression that i would get to try different products to figure out what works for me and I was gonna get tips and advice. I didn't get any tips, advice or product info. All I got was a miserable unhappy makeup artist.

overkill on the customer service.

This place is completely a 50-50 when it comes to customer service. One day I walk in and it seems like every sales rep wants to help me. The next day I go in and I can't get anyone to help.

Treat them right, and they'll make you look great

Sure, it can get crowded. I almost always avoid Sephora on the weekends. However, I had a friend in town who insisted we go on a Sunday. Even though it was shoulder-to-shoulder, we found salespeople who were happy to help, offer suggestions, point us in the right directions and even hunt down testers and try things out on us. When I mentioned my upcoming wedding, I was directed to a chair for my own make-over, after which I was given a schematic of how to replicate the look. This was the second time I've had a make-over there; both times the consultants took my opinions into account and gave me a look that seemed like me, not the pictures in the catalog. I highly recommend taking some time to talk about your skincare needs, and plan your trip with reason. If it's crowded, you may not get the one-on-one time you want, so either come back another time or politiely grab someone and lay out your needs. The nicer you are and the more time you spend discussing your beauty issues, the more likely you are to get a treasure trove of samples!

Noisy & Crowded

While the sales staff is good, I much prefer the atmosphere at the Memorial City store.
