Overall

I've been bringing my cars to this shop for over 15 years. I ONLY use the Ripley shops as they have ALWAYS treated me fairly, kindly, and honestly. They have outstanding service, reasonable prices, and I TOTALLY TRUST them. Thank you all for YEARS and YEARS of excellent work on my cars, I LOVE RIPLEYS!!!!

Overall

I have been taking my Grand Prix to Ripleys since 2000 for all needed repairs, etc. I took my Silverado to them before that. have been extremely pleased with ALL work completed in terms of service and pricing EVERY SINGLE TIME. I would NOT take my car ANYWHERE else. I totally trust this wonderful, family owned business. Thank you all for your honesty, hard work, and dedication.

My friend recommended this shop to me, took my car in, they found what was wrong, gave me a ride home, charged me a fair price, and were very nice! I would also recommend to anyone!

This is Tommy Ripley of Ripley's Muffler and Brakes.

I am writing in response to your dissatisfaction of the charges for your repair. I tried to investigate this situation and my Manager is not familiar with your car. I would love to clear this up. Please call 281-444-3885 and ask for me.

It is true that technicians beat the estimated time quite frequently. The times are based off of a nationally recognized Labor Estimator. At Ripley's we pride ourselves in taking care of customers. Please feel free to call with any concerns.

GREED. Have done a lot of business with them only because they are convenient. Took car in for exhaust repair. Was told by Mgr that it would take 3.5 hrs at i believe was $80 hr, not quite sure. the tech finished in 2 hrs and 45 min. went to pay and was charged the full 3.5 hours. Questioned Mgr and his exact words were "i can't help it if he's good and finished early. Any other tech would have finished in 3.5 hrs" After going back and forth with this moron i just paid him and got out. Never again. Nothing but greed even after all the business i gave him. Plenty other muffler shops out there that can do a better job. I even had to tell the tech to level the mufflers he put on or he would have just left them crooked.

I'm not much for writing reviews, but felt like after all of these years it was time. I've been going to Ripley's for well over thirty years. I've always been pleased with the service and feel as if the people that work there are like family. I notice some negative reviews and that's unfortunate, but I guess that's going to happen no matter what business you're in. Ripley's is a family owned business that's always treated me and my family and friends farly. If there ever is an issue, you can talk directly to the owner and they will explain things and make them right. I know when I go there that they will be honest with me, treat me like family and an old friend, and fix whatever needs fixed without charging for a lot of other things like a lot of other shops I've been to. I can't tell you the number of times I've seen them help people with minor issues and merely send them on there way without a charge and tell them to come back when something needs fixed. A small business does not stay active for forty years in this day and age without being honest, and treating people fairly at a resonable price. It warms my heart to still see a small family owned business operating in Houston, that stands behind it's work, treats you like one of there own, and is always there&willing to help if ever there is a problem. I've dealt with many repair shops over the years, and this is by far the best, with a staff that's been there for many, many years. It's nice to know there are still businesses that put the customer first, treat you like family, and really care for you and your problems. God bless Ripley's and their staff.
