Wont Get Fooled Again

REI's prices may sometimes seem to be the lowest, but unlike much of their competition REI does not pay your sales tax, nor do they offer free shipping - in order to qualify for ""free"" shipping, you must pay REI a $20 membership fee. Tax and shipping will not be factored into your total until checkout is complete. REI's excuse - per one of their customer service reps - is that REI members get up to 10% back on purchases. However, some of their competition is also offering 10% back on purchases, meanwhile offering FREE membership. In short, REI needs to get with the program before they go out of business. I know I wont be ordering from them again until they do.
