Overall

My very frail grandfather stayed here for less than 24 hours before he had to be readmitted to a hospital due to the fact that the staff missed his nightly medications. I was there by his bedside until 10pm and he still had not received his nightly meds, so my aunt went to the nurse's station to inquire about them. The nurse assured us they would handle it and I went home leaving him in their supposedly capable hands. Not 3 hours later, he was rushed to the hospital as a result of never receiving his medicine.

The outside of this place looks very nice , but inside it is poorly constructed and only the cheapest materials are used. For what they charge, you would think tenants would be getting only the best. The hallway carpets are stained with what I can only imagine is human waste and the wood floors and walls are scuffed and marked. The beds look and feel like a crappy pull out couch mattress and the rooms are decorated like a Motel 6, only worse.

All of the aesthetics wouldn't have been as big of an issue if the care offered was up to par, which it clearly is NOT.

Overall
The Plaza at the Buckingham is...

The Plaza at the Buckingham is a high priced skilled nursing facility for very wealthy seniors. Their Management takes pride in the exclusive premium costs they charge to their residents.

The Buckingham/Plaza Management say that they expect their staff and employees to be friendly and motivated to serve their residents.

Their security manager, Roger Williams, is very lax and does not meet the expectations of even an entry level security officer in the security field nor the expectations of the Buckingham/Plaza to be friendly and service oriented:

In terms of being hospitable and friendly, Roger Williams has been seen and heard many times insulting and verbally abusing employees, using vulgar language and insults to describe employees, managers in other departments and residents. He has been heard calling residents a$$holes and b1tches when issues of security requiring attention are reported. He has an anger management problem that is especially noticable in regards to women. He has been heard repeatedly referring to female employees and managers as a$$holes and b1tches and has even said that all the women working at the Buckingham/Plaza are b1tches.

Roger Williams has been heard repeatedly criticizing and insulting other employees and managers job performance and abilities.

However, Roger Williams own position as a convicted thief which is verifiable through criminal history background check services makes him an ironic choice as a security manager for a wealthy retirement community. It's very much like hiring a wolf to watch over sheep.

Would you trust a convicted thief to watch over the safety and security of your elderly parents or grand parents?
