My husband and I went into see the puppies and were shocked at the conditions these poor fur babies are being kept in! There was a four month old english mastiff puppy in a 1' by 3' glass cage. We couldn't even get the poor dear to lift its head! This place needs to be shut down. There is no question that these puppies come from puppy mills! SHAME ON YOU PETCITY!!!!!
Bought a wheaten terrier years ago, had to return him. That poor thing spent the 1st 4 months of his life in a filthy tiny glass cage. We got him home, he was so depressed that he wouldn't stand up and popped n peed on himself while laying down in it! Went to trade him, got a shih-tzu for a pretty penny. Spent all his years back n forth to the vet! Went today hoping things have changed. Found beautiful German shepherd, golden retrievers, labs, and many more, all sleeping in tiny cages smaller than them in their own feces! Poor English bulldogs panting in the hot glass cages, some had no water. Had to walk out cuz I couldn't stand the maltreatment of these beautiful animals! This place should be shut down! Simply horrible! Didn't even ask about seeing the pups or prices! Animals in the pound live in better conditions! Heartless, horrible! Shut them down!
My husband surprised me with a Shih Tzu from this pet store.... The price of the puppy supposedly was 899 the manager changed the price to $1000 even when another employee told him it was 899 on the paper work he claimed the paperwork was wrong (why not just honor the price since its not the customer fault for error) . It was not a huge difference in price so my husband went ahead and bought him the following day. My puppy had a hernia and I was told to bring him in Wednesday to get them removed. Today which is Wednesday I was told that the vet left, but someone else is qualified to take them out. Even though I was told to come in and took off from work to bring my puppy in I still did not get upset. It wasn't until I waited around and still did not get serviced. I told the woman rep I was just going to leave she shrugged her shoulders and said ok. They have used bags and clothing they sell over priced, it smells, and there are roaches in the cages. I wouldnt recommend them, the most important thing is customer service and they failed!
I LOVE IT
even though i told them i was browsing and was just killing time, they still treated me with the respect they would give someone spending thousands, when i asked a question they were knowledgeable, when i wanted something they got straight on it, they let me hold the snakes and play with the puppies and when i decided i wanted to buy a fish tank from them, they were very honest about how the beggining of a fish tank life, to get cheap fish because they have a 90% chance of dying due to ammonia from a new tank. but all in all this is a nice family owned pet shop that takes pride in their work, and go out of their way to get a product in just for you, and do anything they can to make your visit phenomenal.
It's about time to see a real pet store, this place had everything from puppies to chipmunks, it was like a compact zoo. The kids loved it and cried when we had to leave. If anyone ever asked me where to go for a pet, I would tell them that pet city has everything! Even snakes, which they let my son hold. The best place ever, I'll be going back.
