I really didn't want to give them the one star. I made an appt. with the Moore clinic five years ago and I am still suffering.
I had some moles removed and they left scars all over my face. Some of the scars were left where there were no moles.
I should have known better considering the rude behavior from Dr Moore. He came into the room and didn't say hello, barely looked at me, very rude. Talking at me, not to me. I wonder is he really a Dr?
I went in I think the next week and his assistant took the moles off. He was mad about something and wasnt very nice. When I went in for a checkup after the surgery they had another Dr.-who I had never seen check my skin. That bothered me, like they were hiding something.
The scars have lightened somewhat, but I feel like I was treated bad. When I left his office I looked like a monster and they just patronize you and try to sell you all of his skin care product-which I did not buy.
Stay away from this mans office. He is not nice, and I will have to live with these scars until the day I die.

The first week of November, 2010 I had an appointment at Moore Dermatology and Spa. I was so excited because he was an African American dermatologist and thought he would understand my needs better. Boy was I wrong!!! When I went in for my appointment, the first person I spoke to was a salesperson??? Then they put me into an examination room and a nurse and Dr. Moore came in. He did not introduce his self he just glanced at my skin and told the nurse what I needed. The whole appointment took all of 30 seconds. Then they moved me to a cubicle and the same salesperson came out saying Dr. Moore is going to give me a good deal on a facial??? I did not even ask for a facial! Then he said all I need is Dr. Moore's Clear Skin Acne Wash and Toner Cream. I told the salesperson all I need was a new prescription on acne wash I had currently been using. He asked what I had been using, I told him. He promised that Dr. Moore acne wash is better and I will love it. So I decided to try it since they are the professionals. Well 2 weeks into using his product my acne is not improving. I gave it a few more weeks and my face totally broke out!!! I called Dr. Moore's office to let them know it's not working, the reception said someone will call me back, 4 days later a nurse calls. I told her my issues she said to come back in. I asked her if Dr. Moore was actually going to check my face and if he would be able to prescribe acne treatment I already have used before? She just said come in. I made the decision to see another Dr. because in my eyes the service at Dr. Moore's office is terrible. All they want to do is push his products on you! The messed up part about his Clear Skin Acne Wash is it only has 1% salicylic acid in it. That's crap!!! You can get Neutrogena with a higher percentage os salicylic acid then that. In all, if you have acne and you seriously want to get it cleared up DO NOT SEE HIS DOCTOR, HE WILL NOT HELP IT!!! You're going to end up paying $8 for something you can get for $4 at target and $16 for his toner that is ineffective. His products are cheap and now I know why. It's not worth is because now I'm spending 3 times as much to correct this terrible mistake by seeing this doctor.

The staff at Moore Unique is horrible. They don't care that you make an appointment because you will wait for 2 hours for someone to come in for 2 minutes.
Although the product seems to work the service is so bad that I don't want to go back. It was horrible the first time and I thought that I would give it one more try but not to my surprise it was horrible again. They say and advertise that they have a Pearland location but NO ONE is ever there from ""Dr. Moore's"" office. If you try to go pick up product on certain days or times they have POSTED you may have wasted your time and a trip. My husband has gone on two occasions to try and pick up my medication and no one was there. The ladies in the front had no answers and no sympathy. Just simply ""well you are just going to have to come back on another day"". If you have all the time in the world to waste then by all means this may be the place for you.

I also had a bad experience with the office and have not returned for a subsequent visit. I must commend the receptionist at the front desk, as she was the only office member that I encountered that displayed any type of professionalism. I waited a significant amount of time in the waiting room before I was called back to be seen. Once in the back, I was seen by a nurse practicioner (no disprespect to the profession); however, when scheduling my appointment, I was not told that I would not be seen by Dr. Moore (as that was not his day to be in the office). I felt that this information should have been conveyed during the scheduling process. I explained to the nurse the skin problems that I was having and during the middle of my session she left me to consult with another staff member to attend to a patient ( and his condition was definitely not an emergency). When the nurse returned, she stated that I would need laser treatment to remove a scar on my chest area(didnot explain this process) and she speedily listed the products for me to get on my way out. And told me to schedule a follow up appt on her way back to attend to the male patient(more $$$$$, right). I paid over $100 for products made by Dr.Moore as well as a $50 co-pay. Upon leaving the office, I felt as though my concerns were not accurately addressed. After using the products, they still didn't remedy my skin problems. I have been hesitant to return, because I don't want to feel as though I am wasting more money.

This place was very impressive upon arrival. The staff (not the Dr.) was professional and kind. Forty minutes past my scheduled appt time, I was finally be called from the waiting room to the back The process reminded me of an ER intake, except ER's don't demand to photograph you. When I questioned the need for the photo, I was told ""Dr. Moore wants to make sure he's paid, should an issue arises with your Insurance""...Amazing! I observed a few ""nurse practitioners"" pacing the floor and I asked if I would be seen by Dr. Moore. She said no, but by one of the assistants. (she saw my frowned face) and agreed to get Dr. Moore.
He entered the room and glanced at my head, not my scalp, (because he never got close enough to me to be capable of observing any scalp condition). He handed me a flyer and stated, ""This is what you need, get all of these products and follow the directions"".He said a few medi codes to the asst., and left the room. I was dumbfounded by his level of unprofessionalism! I told the assistant no need to schedule a f/u appt. I was Never coming back. She went and got Dr. Moore who sarcastically asked whats wrong. I said Im 29 I take meds for hypertension, and I was excited about my appt today, because I wanted to know what?s wrong with my scalp. But, I am leaving with the same ignorance to my hair loss, as I had upon my arrival today.Dr. Moore FINALLY explained that I have (no surprise) Folliculitis,I needed to take HIS.. prescribed line of hair care products. (Prescribed? then itscovered by my ins. and p/u at CVS, Right?)Not! The costs incl. ins.co-pay would have far exceeded $300.
First impressions last a lifetime, and I will never return to see Dr.Moore. Patient Care should ALWAYS outweigh GREED. A smart business owner knows that putting clients needs first creates loyal, and referral clients.Financial prosperity will follow!
If anyone knows a great Dermatologist in Houston that is interested in MOORE than his patients MONEY, please post.

Dr. Moore's products are considered excellent and very very effective. Paitients are able to get prescriptions which often are more expsensive and at times not as effective. Dr. Moore is a Pharmacist and Dermatologist for over 20 years. Overall our client base have been very happy with our service and has gotten great results with the Moore Unique Skin Care line.
If the person who posted the response on 'Don't do it"" reads this, we would like for you to call us to make up any service that he or she was not happy with.

I had a bad feeling before I ever went into the building. I had to cancel an appointment I had made months ago. But I really needed to go to a dermatologist, so I made another appointment for last week. For some reason I was uneasy about this, but I didn't know of any other dermatologist, so I went ahead with it. Perhaps my uneasiness came from the fact that I knew he had his own line of skincare and I thought he would push all of his products on me. As my mother says, always trust your first instinct! Upon entering the building, you are greeted in the waiting room with a looped reel infomercial of Dr Moore and how wonderful he and his product are. I should have turned around then and there! Instead I waited 45 minutes to be taken to the back room, where Dr Moore graced me with his presence for a whole THIRTY SECONDS!! Trust me when I say I am not lying! He comes in the room, says 'what's wrong"" I tell him that I have been having a problem with breakouts, and he starts to mutter something to his assistant about prescribing me this thing and that thing from HIS line (of course). Then he abruptly turns and walks out! I never had a chance to ask him the other two questions that I was there for!!! When I told this to his assistant, I was told Dr Moore is a busy man! I would NEVER recommend him to anyone, unless you just want to give your money away! In addition to my co-pay of $30 ($1 for each second he spent with me), I was told I needed to pay another $75 dollars for HIS product and another $65 to return for a facial. Now I will admit, the man is a genius and is making hand over fist by supplying everything in his office, but can I please just be properly diagnosed and have at least another 30 seconds so I can finish telling you what I am visiting your office for!?!?! Honestly, find another dermatologist! I am out of my co-pay and still have to find someone else to go to. Would give ZERO stars if I could. Hope he enjoys pimping his customers!
