As a RN, it is my opinion that if you can choose, please never go here! Absolutely the worse hospital I have ever dealt with. Unprofessional, dirty, and uncaring.

I had the single worst experience I have ever had as it concerns the behavior of health care providers (at any level) with the ems crew of this hospital after a concerned citizen made the call for me. I was beginning my work day of swimming pool maintenance when I experienced a very, very frightening incident of what I thought was a stroke or seizure and had to abandon my van and ended up incapacitated on the sidewalk of a nearby street. I was insulted, humiliated, mocked and accused of all sorts of drug abuse. I didn't know where my van was afterwards and they wouldn't proivde me ANY info, make a call. They were derelict! It was behavior unfit for a stray animal and absolutely inexcusable. I have had inpatient treatments at this hospital times before with no complaints, but this was egregious. I hope helps anyone else who may have had a similar experience.

worst hospital in world-i went in for emergency gallbladder pain not operated on till 13 hours or more later-now i have a 34,000 dollar hospital bill sent to law office collections-they were supposed to have billed the va hospital for payment and didnt -now they have ruined my credit-imagine a bill for 3.4 percent of a million dollars for a 1mhour operation-howdo they justify that price-they cant-it doesnt cost that much to have a baby delivered

so bad im baffled by it

i been there twice in critical condition. both times i just watched the nurses up front make fun of, insult, and belittle the patients that were coming in fighting for their life. they would ignore er intake patients to chat and joke around while people fought for life. never been so disgusted or seen lower people in all my life. take your life seriously and go somewhere else that does too.

My father has been here for approximately 5-6 weeks for surgery, then stroke (TG he was still in hospital) which stroke team saved his life, with some residual symptoms. The nursing staff has been incredible on 8th floor, the PT staff is amazing as well. Thank you day nurses Alicia,& Sarah, evening nurses Ajay & Karima and night staff Tatiana & Christy. Thank you Ellen and other PT staff. I'm from Florida , in medical field and I can honestly say that nursing staff, PT staff, Dads physician were informative and always available. Housekeeping was excellent!

Great surgeons, mediocre physicians

The hospital uses services from SOUND physicians, and the only "sound" thing about them is arrogance and ignorance. My elderly family member with terminal decease has been treated like she has already been taken by God. Patients for them is a bunch of numbers on the chart. Have not seen a single one of them approaching my family member with a stethoscope. Oh, I do not even recall them having those. Why, they already know everything.

Very disappointed with it. I had X-Ray done there, paid the full amount they asked for on the day for my X-Ray. On the following month, I received two unexpecting bill from them. Called customer service, they are so rude, and hung up my call when I ask why they didn't tell me at first I will receive some bills later. If you have the other choice, don't go to there, otherwise you will receive unexpecting bill like me. And you never know the amount of unexpecting bill until you receive it.

This hospital is horrible. The only reason I go here is because it is the closest hospital to my home and I'm beginning to reconsider that. My most recent visit was for my wife who went into labor with our little girl. Not only were they very rough with my newborn daughter, they would tell me twenty minutes and that would turn into an hour without them even letting me know that they had not forgotten about me and it was taking longer than expected. If you go here, be prepared to be sitting on the edge of your seat in suspense as you jump at every opening door. Then I was forced to find a place for our five year old son to go for the night because no matter how well behaved your children are, they cannot spend the night with their own parents, even if both are present. A lot of the staff are not trained well, multiple problems with procedures that should be simple like IV's, wife having to deal with excessive pain from having to be stuck multiple times while the nurse literally wriggled the needle around under her skin on previous visits, and on this visit when blood came rushing down her arm, covering the nurses' gloves. This is the one and only time my daughter will be visiting this hospital.

My husband stayed at this hosp...

My husband stayed at this hospital for about 4-5 hours with a severe toothache and headache then was finally put into a room. I've never heard him cry about any type of pain, but he did today b/c he was in that much pain! I was on the phone with him the entire time and he told the nurse that he was just stepping outside to smoke a cigarette trying to calm his nerves in some kind of way...she said ok. He stayed outside no more than 1 min. and returned to the room. That same nurse had a very bad attitude and told him that he did not tell her anything so she removed him completely from their system!!! He was trying to explain to her that he TOLD her that he was stepping outside a second, but she kept on with the smart mouth and turned walked away with the same attitude! We called back to the hospital to speak to the charge nurse, while the shifts had already changed, that charge nurse pulled up his chart and the nurse stated that he stayed gone for 30 minutes!!! REALLY!!! So now 1 min. is the new 30 minutes now? PATHETIC!!! I don't wish bad on anybody, but we must always remember... God has proven even to me that what goes around comes around...watch how you treat others, b/c it could be you in a different situation with the same outcome!!! And Michelle, I don't know about everybody ,else, but my story is legit!!!

worst hospital ever

I went in one morning, my face swollen from toothache, they told me I needed $500 deposit for a rx even tho I had insurance. The staff are unprofessional, they must be trained at one of those schools that push you after 9 months of school. They really don't have experience, seriously. I know a woman who gave birth there just cause she knew she couldn't pass the drug test at a good hospital. She gave birth was able to go home with the baby even tho she had crack in her system. Now you know that's a mess up hospital.they let a crack head go home with a baby. Don't go to that hospital unless you want to die or pass a drug test.

They are not Professional at all. My wife's aunt is in there and they neglect her and the repository nurse came in and put the thump er on her, she didn't introduce herself or even wake her up. The transport nurse had long hair that was NOT up and was in her face, The DR. did not was his hands and when he put his gloves on he scratched his nose touched the bed and all the equipment in the room then started messing with her. I would rather go to saint Luke's or Tomball regional. Now she is back in ICU beaus of there negligence STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!!

Memorial Hermann's patient car...

Memorial Hermann's patient care is great, but their billing department is terrible. A year after services were rendered (and I paid my co-pay) I received a huge bill. When I called, they wouldn't put me on a payment plan because the charge was over a year old. On two other bills, they set up payment plans but stopped sending me invoices. I called to let them know I didn't get an invoice and made a payment over the phone. The next month, no invoice. Then they sent it to a debt collector. They messed up my credit report over the remaining $500 balance after I'd already paid thousands to them (on top of the more than $500, 000 my insurance had paid). When I call to discuss it with a billing supervisor, I'm told it is my fault for not paying. How am I supposed to pay if they can't send me an invoice and can't set up automatic payments? I'm supposed to babysit their billing department? This has happened twice. I now take my child to Texas Children's. Haven't had a single problem with billing with them. Skip the drama, don't go to Memorial Hermann.

Wow, I had such a great experience at Memorial Hermann Southwest! I had a surgery here a month ago and both my physician and all the staff were extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and competent. I was extremely well taken care of and I would recommend MH Southwest to all my friends and family! I will come here again when I need any medical care in the future.

Go anywhere... but here

I'm going to have to agree with the previous reviewer. I was admitted to ER for head trauma after a car accident in December 2009. When I got there, I was helped onto the ER bed by the ambulance service. I felt nauseous and dizzy from the accident. NO ONE came to see me for more than 30 mins. A nurse finally came by and asked me how I was feeling, and I told her my head was throbbing with pain. She told me she would get me some medication and an ice pack. That took another hour. Then I was bombarded by a lady wanting to know insurance information, just like the previous reviewer. All they cared about was how the visit was going to be paid. After I finally provided her with the information I knew, they took me to the waiting room. Still no medication or ice pack. I stopped a nurse that was suppose to bring me the two items midway to the waiting room. And she FINALLY brought me the items. Then they sent me home. NO ONE examined me, much less ask me what was going on and how I was feeling. What kind of hospital is this anyway? 2 months later, I get a bill from the medical provider (Doctor who was suppose to see me) for $500+ for the services rendered. What services? I called the billing agency and asked why I was being billed by the medical provider. They told me the bill is for any services rendered under the Doctors orders. The care could have been provided by a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. I told her NO ONE came to examine me. I might as well popped two Tylenol's and grab an ice pack myself! Safe yourself some time and trouble. Get better health care from ANY place but here.

ER Patient

Last Saturday-July 25, 2009 I was admitted to the ER by ambulance to this hospital. The staff were rude, not caring for my pain- which was unknown the cause. I was in obvious physical pain. They took my temp and blood pressure and they said it was normal. About 20 minutes later a doc. came in (Dr. Wilson) and asked me what had happened and I described it to him. He said he will be right back and he did not. About 15 minutes later a staff member came in to ask me about my insurance and how I was going to pay. I told her that my husband is the carrier and he is on the way. She insisted that I call him and I told her that I did not have a cell phone and I was in pain. I told her it must be way past my medicine time and I was right- 1 hour past in fact. I have epilepsy and the medication was a few feet away on a counter. I told her to get someone, a nurse or doctor. But she kept on asking info about how I was going to pay. I told her again that my husband was on his way and please get me my medicine b/c I feel a sezure may occur. Then she did it. A nurse (named Michelle)came about 5 minutes later and wiped the upper left thigh where my bone was with alcohol and then said this is atavan and "big shot" and stuck a huge needle in me without asking me to lie straight or give me proper warning. Remember I was already in physical pain to start with. I am petite and have very little muscle fat. I cried with pain b/c she did not prepare me or change to a smaller needle. There was shooting pain all through my left leg and I was screaming with pain. The nurse said I was trying to help you and I told her I was in pain. She just left. No doctor or nurse came when I was literally crying and trying to get help. I pleaded for help. Luckily my husband arrived after 15 minutes of crying and he massaged my leg. It slowly felt better. A nurse came in to give me my release papers and a prescription for atavan. I told her I wanted to see the doctor to find out what caused my collapse and muscle problems when I first came in. He told me that he does not know- it could have been an anxiety attack or a seizure (they never drew any blood). He said to follow up with my doctor on Monday. And that was that. I came in with one physical pain and I left with another. A friend of mine, a nurse who used to work there, said that the needle probably hit the bone and that was why you had shooting pain. She also said they should not have used a big needle b/c of my size. And she also told me that this hospital has very poor nurses and doctors and that is why she quit. She would recommend never returning. And I agree. Save your money and time and health.

It is unfair that someone can get on yahoo and lie about a situation. I can't discuss this any further but the allegations are false.
