Biography

Lilette Daumas, MD, is a general family medicine practitioner in Houston, Texas, covering a wide range of primary care issues, with a focus on preventive care but also diagnosing and treating diseases common in primary care. A native Texan, Dr. Daumas earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of St. Thomas in Houston before attending medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio. She then completed an internship in family medicine at the University of Texas in Galveston, before moving briefly to Germany with her family where she worked as an OB/GYN at a county hospital after learning the language. Upon her return to the United States, Dr. Daumas began her own practice in 1992.
Dr. Daumas is committed to providing her patients with the best possible care. She stays up-to-date on the latest medical techniques and recommendations by attending seminars on family medicine provided by the Texas Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Practice. She also serves as a voting member of the TMA, regularly pushing for the rights of patients and advocating for their needs to state and federal congresspeople, and serving as vice-chair of their political action committee, TEXPAC.
At her practice, Dr. Daumas makes every effort to be honest with her patients, spending time getting to know them and talking through their conditions. She feels every patient has a right to know what’s going on with them and provides a refreshing directness in her communication. Her dedication to her patients has attracted many that stay for life, and Dr. Daumas has had the privilege of watching patients grow up within her practice.
Dr. Daumas speaks English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and French, and enjoys choral singing, cycling, photography, and traveling in her spare time.
