Joy Child Learning Center

I'm a mom of 2 daughters, who both started their preschool and graduated from JOY child learning center from 2015-2018. This is the best school you can ever come to in Houston! The only school I have come across where education, health, cleanliness have really been given the highest priority. I highly recommend this school for your child.
Even at preschool level, the kids are above average in reading, math or counting. Their syllabus is so advanced and their techniques of teaching children are amazing. Both of my girls along with other kids were above average readers and advanced in math for Kindergarten level. My daughter even has been selected in Gifted and Talented program in elementary school, now 3 classmates from her Gifted and Talented program are alumni of Joy school itself! And as soon as she was selected, Ms Cher was the first one we informed to :)
They have a cook who prepares freshly cooked healthy food everyday, that my kids relish even to this day. As school goers, we still prefer to drive 10 miles from Cypress to drop the girls only to JOY school and no where else during off days and summer vacation. They take care to see that every class, toys, cafeteria are always clean. Ms Cher is so unique and special that its hard to find such genuine teacher these days who always goes an extra mile with her kids and parents to ensure they are above average in reading and math and also in good behavior. She has a clear vision for the kids beyond preschool. Her interest and personal care for children is beyond the preschool level. She is always encouraging and rewards kids to boost their interest to do well. She is also so good at assessing the kids capacities. Where do we find such teachers at preschool level today?

This description can go on, its like second home for my kids. I'm very very proud to say that my girls graduated from JOY and yet a part of the school during holidays. This place truly brings JOY to the kids and parents. No second thought in this!

When my daughter was 2 it was time to move from home care with her grandmother to a daycare for the experience to grow and learn and socialize with other kids. Like most mothers I do not make the decision of choosing child care easily, nothing but the best would do. I found Joy after doing a lot of research and visiting many centers in the area. I knew Joy was the best place by far after my very first visit and there was no other place I would ever consider again. My daughter has loved the center and everyone there since day one, even when it was hard for me to leave her that day, worried it would be difficult for her to adjust, she just waved and said "Bye Mom" then ran off to play. The teachers are all very loving, patient, attentive and absolutely great with the kids. It's very clean and safe and has a fantastic, structured curriculum that doesn't compare to any other daycare I have ever seen. It has been 3 1/2 years now and my daughter is finally starting kindergarten already knowing how to read and write on a first grade level! My husband and I feel very blessed to have found Joy, Ms. Cher and Mr. Mel and all the wonderful teachers who have helped shape my baby girl into such a smart, well mannered and genuinely happy child. Thankfully we live close by and she will attend the local elementary school so she will most likely be staying at Joy until she is too old to go anymore :-)

My two young boys have been attending Joy Child Learning Center for over a year. My five year old started kindergarten August 2009. He scored perfect on his first math benchmark, and his reading level tested at a first grade level at the beginning of kindergarten. I am certain his academic success was achieved due to the teachers and educational program at Joy. My two year old loves his teachers at Joy. He has made many friends, learned his manners and has begun to develop academically. The owners and teachers at Joy truly care about my children. The owners are always present at the school, and are involved in teaching and caring for my boys. Joy Child Learning Center has continuously been committed to providing a high quality educational program while developing my children's social skills. -Angela L.

I give Joy 5 stars for the amazing improvement of my daughter. When my daughter started attending Joy, 18 months ago, she would not interact with other children or adults, at all. She would cling to her immediate family members. Now, she asks to go to Joy, even on the weekends. As a mother, that is very reassuring. I'm also very pleased with the skills she has gained since she has been attending Joy. Furthermore, she has obtained knowledge that has made her a very distinquished child among her age group and has acquired much self confidence as she gets ready to go to the next level of her education.

In searching for a child care provider, it has been quite a hardship for my 21/2-year old daughter and I. I tried putting her in a private caregiver's home, but it just didn't work out for us. In short, my daughter was watching TV a lot of the time and I just didn't believe she was getting enough attention and or was not being looked after by the caregiver 100% of the time. She cooked their meals and went to the restroom (without a substitute replacing her) during the child caring times. This was not acceptable to me. I tried several licensed centers, but was disappointed with much of their services, because, what mattered to me most-care, safety, & program content-was lacking or not intensive enough. Luckily, I received an advertisement from Joy and went to see them. This place was more than I expected to get. Joy is a modest-size building, but has a great team of directors and teachers who have a passion for caring and teaching children. My daughter is now enrolled here. I have dropped by at many different times of the day and have always seen my daughter busy learning vocabulary & songs, making art, playing outdoors and more. What I like about Joy is that they have made me feel comfortable and my child very happy. Here, she has discovered her talents and is challenged to learn more. We feel very fortunate to have found Joy.
