Jewelry Judge Ben Gordon- Houston Independent Appraisers

I had a lot of jewelry from my family estates, and I didn't know what was real and what was not. These folks worked with me for two days, and when I left, I knew what I had, and had appraisals for the things that were valuable. They did exactly what I needed, and were a delight to work with. I am a very happy customer.

I needed an appraisal for my engagement ring, and I was able make an online reservation on the same day and received excellent service. I highly recommend this place!

Everyone in the office is very professional and personable. They look time to explain the entire process and I was impressed that both Ben and Mary reviewed my bracelet and independently arrived at the same conclusion. There is a lot of activity going on in this office! I needed my wedding set re-appraised for insurance and they did a wonderful job. I couldn't have asked for more.

Fantastic Experience.

I needed two watches appraised for insurance. I called, made a same day appointment, and was met by Linda G. at the door. She was really kind and knowledgable. I then went through the appraisal process with Mary, who was very thorough, organized, and kind. Ben G. was also there and collaborated with Mary through the process. This appraisal office is incredible. Not only are they fair and honest, they are FUN. Great experience all around.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Gordon and his staff today while having two pieces appraised. He was so personable! He explained every aspect of the apprasial process and I was in the room the entire time. Mr. Gordon identified a loose stone during the examination. I was able to have the loose stone repaired and both pieces polished before my departure!! The prices were very readable for the quality of service received. Thank you again Mr. Gordon!!

I took 3 items to be appraised , and had GIA certification for 2 of them. Ben and Mary were practically spot on compared to the GIA certifications. I was impressed, and the process itself was really interesting to watch. Everyone was very friendly and processional, and I would highly recommend them.

Selected Ben to have an out of state stone shipped to for evaluation prior to buying! The seller felt comfortable with an independent person and so did I - he is incredible in his knowledge and experience, truthful, honest, pleasant, and extremely accurate and helpful! A pure pleasure to have as an ally in the jewelry world - I hope I have the opportunity to work with him even more in the future!

I made an appointment to see the “Jewelry Judge”, Ben Carson on Saturday morning and was able to secure a time slot that same afternoon. I went with my fiancee and we were greeted by a lady who went through the step by step process with us. She was kind and informative. She asked us if we had the GIA certification with us and was told to not show Mr. Carson until he was finished the appraisal. This way, they could compare and show us the results or “accuracy” of their appraisal.



The whole experience was just fascinating. You can immediately tell that he has such a passion for his work. He was extremely thorough and sure enough, he was able to match the specifications on the GIA certificate. He was also very helpful in giving information such as insurance, cleaning, maintaining etc.



We were in and out in about an hour and my ring never left my sight. 5 star service that’s well worth the price!

Great Experience!

We read such great reviews on line and figured this was our best bet for jewelry appraisal. We brought in a number of old family pieces we weren't sure about. The whole "team" was welcoming, professional and just made us feel at home. Ben (Mr. Gordon) was delightful and informative as he got down to business. His years in the biz make him top quality, but his passion & enthusiasm is equal. Ben's wife, Linda was wonderful, helping us make decisions about repairs on a few rings. We have been in a couple times for appraisals and repairs. We always leave smiling! Glad we believed those reviews!
