I was a regular at one time. I was reminded today , why I quit coming. the table wdirty the oors eeded a ttention. My date came back to the tablev reporting the Ladies room was gross; a sign with instructions to not flush toliet paper but to toss in waste, and a foul odor. she as appled I paid for drinks and went else where. A hane I usedto really lke this place.

All good at Hollywood! =)

I come here at least once a week with my boyfriend. We always get Pho and share an appetizer. Great food and good service!

Worst Chinese In The History Of Time!

Our waiter, his name was David, is possibly the worst bartender/waiter I have yet had the duty of chancing.
He forgot my order, my drinks, my waters, and the shots I ordered--he messed up.
I can not fathom the idea of the possibility there might be a worse waiter than he.
My food came out the same time the appetizer did.
He never refilled my water. Did not even entertain the idea that I existed.
Meanwhile he's chatting away with a 'buddy'. He even put a finger to shush me when I put my hand up to wave his attention.
I will NEVER go to that place again!
And I will warn everyone I know of it!

The Sesame Chicken I ordered came out saltier than I expected, otherwise the quality of meat was better than most Chinese joints. The dish itself came out acceptable and edible.
The Shrimp Lo Mein was not Lo Mein, it was Spaghetti and it was bland. Horrible.

And while the Chicken was good it was not worth the experience. Sorry to say but Kam's around the corner is eons better.

never again will i go!

a friend and I went to Hollyood Cafe on Motrose for a good time and good food, well we had the worst service by a waiter called Nate. Never again will i ever go there again. He got our food wrong then he started to want to buy my friend shots. i was like i dont think so. he insisted that the shots were on him but when we got our bill, he had charged every shot on us, even the one's he took with us. We never asked for them but he insisted on them. yet he wanted a tip cause he had bought us shots. i was like no you didnt. he then argued and asked us to leave. so we did. never again will i dine there. not worth the service!!!

Hurrah for Hollywood!

The chargrilled pork spring rolls are to die for. The combo noodle bowl is just like I'm used to back home with crispy Vietnamese rolls and delicate fish sauce. And they have a very unique and extensive dessert menu. There's something for everyone at Hollywood! That said, some dishes are subpar. My scallops were rubbery and bland. The wait staff is unpredictable; I've had some great bartenders and some not-so-great servers. The patio is nice even though the staff sometimes seems put off by having to work outside.

Enjoyed the experience!

The food was great; I recommend the C9 and the Spring Rolls. You will not be disappointed! I have never had anything that I did not like. I will keep coming back time and time again!

great food, big portions, great price

I have been going there since it opened, and I left for military reasons and drove by the old spot and was VERY sad that it closed. Of course nobody told me they are right off Montrose and now I cant get enough. I love the crispy Viet rolls, the Fu, and the portions are HUGE!!!! When you are out late you have to stop by. This is the type of place you really dont pay attention to the waitstaff. You should be enjoying the company and the great food that is in front of you. If you want to say hi to Danny, the owner, he will always put a smile on your face. KEEP UP THE GOOD FOOD!!!!!!

Excellent Service but Watch out for Food

The place was great before they moved. The last 2 times I got gastrointeritiz from eating there. the service is great but the management treats the staff so poorly that they're always on edge.

Best Late Night Vietnamese

Hollywood is one of my favorite late night (and daytime) places to eat in Montrose. It is far better than other popular late night vietnamese eateries.
The food is always fresh and delicious. The black pepper shrimp and scallops are very good as well as the soups. The waitstaff is friendly and the atmosphere fun.

disco vietnamese?

I like Hollywood. The food is typical and the black pepper crab and ribs are fabulous. The bar lacks in orginality. Stick with bottled beer. The waitstaff are attentive and quick. However, they will rush you through an order and perhaps forget something (experience that 3 times so far). The worst: disco music non-stop. The best: open very very late!
