I had a great experience with Dr.Chen I had a implant done today and this will be my 5th implant with her. I’ve shopped with many doctors by far she’s the best one. I highly recommend.Great staff and great environment. Thank you very much.

Best Dentist in Town!!

The 1 star review must have been the exception. I and many of my friends have had only wonderful experiences at Dunhuang Perio.

Several of my friends referred me to this dentist, and we all love her! Dr. Chen has been my dentist now for almost 3 years. I came in with severe gum disease, but Dr. Chen set up a very reasonably priced 4-year treatment plan for me. (I have dental insurance, so I can only do so much each year.) Now the inflammation and pain is all gone in every part of my mouth but one-- and that one is only because it's supposed to be treated next year!

Dr. Chen genuinely cares for her patients. Her staff works with a professional yet outgoing attitude. I was honestly surprised at how reasonable her prices are considering she is a periodontal specialist dentist! The office is beautiful and bathrooms are clean (rare in Chinatown!). Don't go in on Saturdays if possible-- These are their busiest days and wait time could get long.

Tip on pricing: If you have insurance, you're good to go! For big procedures you pay deductible + minimum copay. For regular cleanings, fillings, exams-- all free!
I heard from my friend that if you pay cash, you have to pay more (obviously), but you get huge discounts too. She got an implant for only $1700!--and this is a specialist dentist we're talking about! These are quality implants!

Basically, Dr. Chen works magic with her hands. Her procedures are nearly painless and she performs them incredibly quickly and skillfully. Prices are great, the folks are nice. So what more could you want from your dentist?

Worst Dental Doctor in Town

I went to this doctor (Dr. Jennifer Chen) for a root canal. She gave me a discounted price because I paid in cash and that I was a student, I was very grateful and I thought she was a polite and understanding doctor. Turns out, she did a partial job only. I went to another doctor for the crown restoration that was needed with any root canal and was informed that there were still some nerve left inside!!! I was at a risk for an infection if I do not get that taken care of. I went back to Dr. Chen and she refused to re-do it. Stating that ""nothing's perfect"" in her exact words. If i were to be given a re-treatment for a root canal that I've already paid $700+ for, the second treatment would be around $900. This is ridiculous! I have to go back for a total of twice for a cost of $1600+ for a root canal that was not done properly the first time? She also stated that she gave me a discounted price the first time (25% off), so that means I only a get a 75% job done on my tooth? WORST doctor ever. She is better as a con-artist than a dentist.
