Rheumatology is the subspecialty of internal medicine that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases of the joints, muscles, and connective tissues. A MCH Hospitalist will be in charge of your care while you are in the Houston Methodist Hospital. Working as a team, MCH Hospitalists collaborate with your primary care and subspecialty doctor(s) at MCH to manage your care from the time you are admitted until discharge. Because of their rotating schedule, you may see more than one Hospitalist during your hospital stay. Gynecology

Also called Breast tomosynthesis, three-dimensional (3-D) mammography and digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT), is an advanced form of breast imaging, or mammography, that uses a low-dose x-ray system and computer reconstructions to create three-dimensional images of the breasts. Breast tomosynthesis aids in the early detection and diagnosis of breast disease, especially in those with dense breast tissue.
Computed Tomography
Patients scheduled for certain procedures including, but not limited to, CT Scans, MRIs, Nuclear Cardiology Studies, and Echocardiograms, will be responsible for making payment arrangements for the self-pay portion of the study prior to the test being performed. This includes the estimated amount that will be owed due to your annual deductible, coinsurance, non-covered services, frequency limitations, or lack of medical coverage.
Chemotherapy
These specialists also lead the development of the cancer patient’s treatment plan, which may include surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, or hormone therapy, while also coordinating with other oncology specialists and clinicians who may have a role in the patient’s care. A medical oncologist is the doctor a cancer patient will continue to see after treatment for checkups over the long-term.
