good service

The new guy they got working the front is very polite and cute .The service went up 1000% since he started working . The quality of the alterations is second to none

Great experience

After trying 2 other tailors, i finally found one that did great work, was punctual, and charged a fair fee. I'm very happy and recommend Class tailors to others.

Great Tailor

I had my wedding dress altered here. I think she did a great job, at a reasonable price in a timely fashion. Thanks.

good job, but pricey

I had jeans altered which required hemming and being taken in at the waist (1 seam at the back). The jeans looked good, but I thought the $28 I paid was a bit high. The same alteration in Chicago cost me $15.

Top quality alterations, reasonable prices

Class Tailors is a great place to get alterations done with top-notch quality for a reasonable price. You could probably get the work done at other places for less money, but you get what you pay for. I will continue to bring all of my clothing there for any alterations in the future as long as their work stays great and the price doesn't get too high.

I decided to post a review after witnessing a very mean customer (mjenna23) being rude to the tailor (the tailor is such a nice lady and I feel so bad for her) and threatening to post a bad review if the tailor didn't lower her price. I was coincidentally there picking up my own dress at the same time that the rude customer was picking up her dress. Boy, was she a meanie, yelling and complaining about the price and threatening to post a bad review online if the tailor didn't lower the price. She went on to claim that the price quote was different from the price being charged. Now, I don't know what happened beforehand...there might have been some miscommunication or misunderstanding, but the price charged was very reasonable. I've been bringing my dresses and other finer clothes there for years after having unsatisfactory results with numerous tailors in the area, and they are by far THE BEST with the MOST REASONABLE prices. With that being said, please do not take advantage of people who clearly do not have control of the English language at the level that you have (yes I'm talking to you mjenna23) . Instead, be a little more polite, lady-like, and 'smarter' by paying for the alterations when you drop off your clothes, not when you pick it up. That way, you know exactly what the price is even if there is some miscommunication.

Worst Customer Service

What initially was a positive experience turned into a very sour one when I went to pick up the bridesmaid dress I had altered. During the fitting process, the owner was efficient and nice. I specifically asked her how much it would cost to alter the dress and she gave me a price.

When I came to pick it up, the price was almost double what was quoted to me. When I pointed this out, she argued with me telling me that she had only quoted the price of one specific alteration, not the price to alter the whole dress. Ok, what?! When I ask how much it will cost to alter a dress, I expect that the only price you quote to me to be the total. How can you make additional alterations that will add to the cost of the dress without clearing it with your customer?

Anyways, we went round and round, but she wouldn't budge. I was forced to pay to even get my dress back. The work is decent but overpriced. The customer service is awful and how they ""quote"" prices is just plain shady. I will not go back.

feeling gypped

I recieved a quote for alterations for a formal dress. Upon picking up the dress, thy charged me over 3 times the amount they had quoted me. They had my phone number but had failed to call me and say that the price had gone up. During our insuing discussion they would not listen to my rational and simply repeated their side of the story ad infinitum. Please take your business elsewhere.

The good reviews are true

I chose this place off of the reviews from here and it's more than delivered. The people are super friendly and do fantastic alterations. I recently took a pair of ripped slacks there for my husband and when we got them back we could barely find the place that they fixed. The prices are reasonable and they are always willing to work with your schedule if you are in a bind.

Very Satisfied!

Mei and Anne did an excellent job on my wedding dress and all of my bridesmaid dresses. Their work is superb and the price is just right. I was first introduced to them by my friend who was getting married. She was having her wedding dress altered and I was a bridesmaid getting my dress altered. Needless to say, everything turned out perfect. From then on, I took in everything to them, from work clothes to leather and even draperies. Anything that needs to be done with a needle and thread, it goes straight to them. I trust them with all of my clothes. I have piece of mind knowing that they can help me with anything in that department. Furthermore, they are very honest and will not take advantage of you. Once I brought in a dress to be altered that needed tons of work. Because of all the work that needed to be done, they warned me that the price for alterations would be almost as much as the dress . Because it was a one of a kind dress and did not come in a smaller size, I told them to go ahead. It turned out exactly the way I wanted it to be. I can go on and on and on about them. They are sooo wonderful and I would recommend and have recommended them to my friends!

Best Alterations!

Everytime I get my clothes back from them, I feel like a million bucks. Thank God I was introduced to them by my friend. Everything fit to a tee to my body. I took in my suits that I bought on sale at the department stores and they were able to fit them perfectly. People are always commenting me on the suits that they have altered. I truly believe that if clothes fit your body the way it should, it will look expensive and people will pay more attention to you. I actually walk taller now in the altered clothes!

++++++Best tailors in Houston+++++++

I was introduce to Class Tailor by my mom who has been going there for over 10 years. I highly recommend Class Tailor. If your looking for quality ...I mean your clothes looks like it was custom made for you. Can't get no better than that !!

Truly the best in Houston. I've been all around Houston looking for the best tailor. Class Tailors is the best bar none. Take anything to them, jeans, skirts, suits, coats. All done with exellence. More important, they are up to date with the latest trends and fit your clothes according. Others just do basic hemming and sizing, Class Tailors does it with style.

First time review, A++ job with my $$ clothes

I was wary just because my clothes are expensive and if they're poorly altered, they are as good as useless. The suit jacket I had altered was taken in perfectly, I couldn't even find where they altered it (as it should be!) The dress pants were spot on, the jeans were done perfectly (and almost 2-3 inches had to be taken in, so this was no easy task), and the shirts were custom fit to my form. I'm even considering taking the rest of my wardrobe back to have it custom fit to me! The turn around seems to be negotiable, but it's usually done within 24-72 hours, depending on the urgency you need it, and I they don't charge extra for a quick turn around. Go at odd hours, otherwise you'll be there waiting in the alterations line forever.
